"I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
"Oh okay. Bye."Cameron kisses my forehead and walks away. He exits the storage room and closes the door softly. I fall to the floor and begin to sniffle. I think about how sad Cameron will be. I sit against the cubbies and continue to cry. I hear the door open. I don't bother to see who it is. I try to hold in my tears for the time being. They kiss my forehead and feel the warm breath lingering onto me. I feel like its Cameron, who I really hope it isn't. They reach for my hand. I hesitate and pull my arm back.
"Oh c'mon Sage. Not now. You can't be crying here. Let me help you up."
I look up to see that it's Daniel. I knew I recognized his sweet and calm voice. I wipe my tears with the sleeves of my sweater. He offers me his hand to help me stand up from the floor. Looking into his Hazel eyes, I take his hand.
"Hey Sage, so I came back here to ask you a question." His facial expression changes. He has an uneasy look and it begins to scare me. His head falls to the floor. "What's wrong Daniel? You know you can talk to me about anything. I'm here to listen." He lifts his head and looks sorrowfully into my eyes. Gently placing his hands on shoulders, he pulls me closer to him.
He hugs me gently and says, " Do you really love Cameron? You always have this uncomfortable look on your face when you two are together. It's so obvious, why don't you say anything! Sage, you know I love you to death. Why don't you let me?..."The room is fulled with silence. I hug Daniel back. I had forgotten how gentle his hugs were. I'd forgotten how joyful I got when he's around. I smile slightly and rest my head on his broad shoulder. I begin to sniffle again. And yet, this moment makes me happy. We hear the door open, yet we are oblivious to our surroundings we don't move.
"Sage? You in here still? You're not outsi-..." I hear Cameron gasp. Daniel releases his grip from the hug. His sorrowful eyes looking down he walks out the room.
