I open my eyes from my deep sleep. Waking up to a wet pillow from TOO much crying last night and the bright shining sun directly in my eyes wasn't a very ideal great morning start. Yesterday made me emotionally and physically tired. I can barely put enough energy to sit up. I reach for my phone to figure out the time. 6:34. I need to get ready for the day but I'm to tired to move.

I eventually find the energy to get up from my bed. I yawn, and walk to my closet. I look outside. Do I want to look nice and decent like the temperature outside or do i just want to look lazy and not care? Well, I'll try talking to Daniel today, so I'll look nice. I mean why not?

...

Arriving to school makes me nervous. I'm scared of Daniel and Cameron. "What-if" questions blow up my mind.
I shake my head no and contiue to walk toward the school campus.

As I walk toward my locker, my friend Michelle awaits me at my locker. She looks nice today. She holds a bouquet of red roses. I give her a confused look as she looks at me happily. Michelle hands me the bouquet of flowers.

"These are from Daniel. He told me to give this to you."
"Thanks!"
I take the flowers and open my locker. A note falls to the floor. Michelle and i stare at the note. She picks the note up and opens it. As she reads the note to herself, I put my textbooks away. She squels and reads,
"Dear Sage,
Hope you're not doing anything tomorrow night!
-Daniel"

"Is he asking you out on a date?! To be honest, the note and flowers is so cheesy and unorginal. But I think he likes you." We continue to walk down the hallway to the band room.

As we find ourselves by the band room, we are unable to get through the crowd of people. Michelle and I exchange worried looks and begin fishing our ways through the crowd. I find myself standing next to Melody, but I'm still unable to see what's going on. I stand on my tippie-toes to see over everyone but I'm to short.

I tap on Melody's shoulder. "What's going on?" She looks at me with a frightened look. "Uhm... uhm..." I push myself to the front of the crowd. I see the one thing I wished I hadn't seen. Cameron raises a fist, face bruised and bleeding. Daniel, scratches and a bleeding lip covering himself with his arms. Cameron lands his fist into Daniel's face, leaving him knocked out on the floor. The band director pushes through the crowd, arriving to the scene. Everyone tries running away, including Cameron, leaving Daniel helpless on the floor.

I run to Daniel to help aid him. I sit beside him and look at his face. His hazel eyes looking darker than normal. His face bleeding so much, he acts as if he feels no pain.

"Can you explain to me why you and Cameron were fighting?!"
He begins to giggle. I'm not laughing.
"What can I say, it's normal for guys to fight over the same girl. He's mad at me for getting in the way of your guy's relationship. I'm really sorry..."
"But your not in the way..."
I begin to hold back the tears in my eyes. "Sage, don't look at me with those sad eyes. I'm fine okay?" I don't believe him. I don't believe he's okay. He knows he isn't okay. I hug him tightly. With barely any energy, he manages to hug me back. And there we sit alone in the band room...
