The sound of chirping birds and cars honking their horn awoke the country from his slumber. America yawned and sat up, stretching his arms above his head. He sighed as he put on his glasses from his bedside table, turning on his phone as he did so. He saw he had a few messages from the other day from Canada, and when he went into them to view them he gasped in recognition. That's right, he went for a walk the night before and stumbled upon a herd of horses. America grinned and hurried out of his room and down to the kitchen. He heated up leftovers from McDonald's and stared at his phone in thought.

America pondered who would know about animals, wondering who would know how to help him in his search for the herd. He heard the ding of the microwave finishing heating his food and he quickly took his plate and sat down at the table. As he munched on his breakfast, he scrolled through his contacts. His eyes landed on a certain Britain's contact he had and his eyes lit up. He swallowed the last bite of the burger and sent a quick message to the country before dashing out the door, with a rushed 'be back later' to the house. He paused looking at his car, debating on driving over to England's house, before shaking his head. It would be better to walk, especially if he was going to go search for the herd after visiting England.

America soon made it to England's and eagerly knocked on the door. He stood there for a moment waiting before he raised his hand to knock again. As he went to knock for the third time, the door swung open revealing an irritated Country." Alfred! I swear you have no patience at all!" America grinned and walked inside without the other inviting him in." Happy to see you too bud!" He grinned at the other, watching as he closed the door with a sigh." Alright, what is it you need help with this time?" England asked, walking over to sit down in a comfy looking chair.

America followed, sitting down on the couch." Ah well I was hoping you'd be able to help me find a herd I saw yesterday after the meeting." England paused mid sip of his tea, his eyebrows raised as he looked at the younger country." A herd?" America nodded his head." Yea! A herd of horses, I wanna find them again." England chuckled and put his tea down as he crossed his arms." And why, pray tell, would you want to go out looking for this herd? They've probably moved on by now, halfway across the state." England shrugged, looking at the other country.

America's shoulders sagged, looking at the brit with wide eyes." What? No way! They've gotta be here! I just know they are, and besides, I wanna find a certain horse in the herd. When all the other horses spooked from my scent or whatever, this one stood there and stared at me!" America exclaimed, waving his hands around a bit as he explained, his eyes practically shining in awe as he remembered the moment. England sighed and set his tea cup down and folded his hands." Alfred I don't know if that's such a good idea. Who knows if that herd belongs to someone."

Alfred huffed and crossed his arms." No way dude! I would've seen a tag, or a brand of some kind. These were wild horses!" He protests, his eyebrows furrowing. Arthur looked at the other country with a skeptic look. He glanced at his watch before sighing and giving the other a look." Alfred, as much as I'd like to help you, I can't. I have more important matters to attend to.." The brit sighed as he watched the other country go quiet.

Alfred looked down at the floor, feeling his hope sink after hearing the brit's words. He frowned and went quiet as he tried to think of what to say next. He glanced up hearing the other move, watching as Arthur walked out of the room, mumbling about making himself a scone. Alfred glanced down at his hands again before grinning widely at the thought that crossed his mind. Well if Arthur didn't want to willingly help, there was always plan B: Annoy the brit until he either agrees to go with, or help in another way.

Alfred stood up before making his way silently into the kitchen. He watched the brit gather the ingredients for his snack, mixing them in a bowl as he glanced at a cookbook. Alfred snuck up behind the brit, making sure he couldn't see him, or know he was there at that moment. He waited a bit, watching as Arthur pulled out a mixer to mix the rest of the ingredients. He then inhaled a deep breath and looked at the others back in a mischievous way." But Arthur come on! You gotta help me! Please please please please please!" He blurted out the next words, even going so far as to put his hands on the brits shoulders and shaking the other a bit.

Alfred could only watch what happened next, laughing at the brits yelp, and watching as some, if not most of the mixed ingredients went flying as the brit jumped. Alfred was cackling, bent over the counter as he held his stomach with one arm, unaware of the now fuming British country glaring at the other." Alfred if your so determined to find this herd of horses, why don't you go find them yourself!" Arthur growled, before turning back to look at the mess that was made. He grumbled as he stomped out of the kitchen to find towels. Alfred, having calmed down from his laughing fit, perked up at the suggestion. Arthur had a point, why was he here, wasting time, and daylight, trying to get the other to join him, when he could already be out there searching for the herd?

Alfred grinned and laughed a bit, standing up before glancing at the way Arthur walked off to." Your right! I'm gonna find this herd and you'll see I wasn't imagining things!" He then hurried out the door and made his way back towards the entrance of the forest he had walked into the other night. He made a quick stop at home for a flashlight, just in case he was out a little after dark, then made his way towards the forest. He grinned as he found the path from before he had walked, and began retracing his steps. He wondered if the herd was in the same meadow that he stumbled upon and saw them. There was only one way to find out now, he thought, looking around as he walked the trail.

Meanwhile back at Arthur's place, he went back into the kitchen and had begun to clean up the mess the other country had caused. He sighed when he was done cleaning after a few minutes, deciding to put up the ingredients for now. He paused as he wondered why the other country was in such a rush to leave, though he wasn't complaining. As he pondered the thought, he remembered what he had said before. He gasped and he spun around to look at the front door, which was still open by a crack." Wait Alfred, you moron!" He quickly grabbed his phone and a flashlight before dashing out the door and towards the others house. He knew he should've kept his big mouth shut, he cursed himself, hoping he could find Alfred before he got himself into trouble.
