Dear Diary,
I write to tell you on this dark day that my husband passed away. Though he was far older than me, we fared alright and I am disappointed for another reason- it means I will have to remarry, likely to some ugly and even older Pasha. For Allah's sake, I was married before I was 7! My sisters Ayse and Fatma suffered the same fate, Hanzade too, but only Burnaz Atike Sultan, my youngest sister got to peacefully stay in Topkapi without getting married. I am ever so jealous, but I haven't seen her since last year, so I hope she's matured. It's sad that I'll be moving out of my nice large palace, but a good change.
