Autumns POV:
Im surprised to see Charlotte sat there by herself at a park 30 minutes from her home. I was only there because it was mine and winters date spot. We'd go there every Saturday. It was romantic spot and both winter and I enjoy it "hi Charlotte" I call out. I see her turn her head to see me standing there. A smile comes across her face as she beckons us over. My eyes flicker to beside Charlotte and I'm surprised to see Mia sat there.
"Uh char hey what you doing here" my eyes stay on Mia who is looking down at her phone clearly not paying attention to her surroundings since she didn't so much as say hello to me or winter. "Just having a picnic" she replies clearly embarrassed.
"Char can I talk to you for a minute over there about the thing" I point over to a far away tree. She rolls her eyes but nods getting up to follow me over to the tree.
Mia's POV:
I stare at Charlotte as she walks off with autumn. I knew they were talking about me. My heart beat still hadn't gone back to normal after the almost kiss. I was almost mad at Charlotte after ruining our moment.
Charlottes POV:
I knew autumn probably wanted to talk about Mia. What else could it be? A million questions were running through my mind "had she seen us almost kiss?" "Would she tell Marjorie and everyone else" "would everyone in the nursery hate me" "would they understand" I was cut off from thinking when autumn starts speaking. "What the hell are you doing here with Mia Charlotte" she glares at me threateningly. You need to have a backbone I repeat in my head as I reply "relax ok autumn?" I ask her. She huffs. "Relax!? You're here with the enemy!" She shouts so loud that Mia can probably hear her even though we're a few feet away. "Look autumn I'm sorry she needed my help with something" autumn rolls her eyes. "Fine whatever I'll see you at the drinks later" autumn storms off. "Autumn wait!" I call but she's too fast. When she reaches winter and Mia she grabs winters hand dragging him off. "What was that about?" Mia questions as I sit back down. I shrug. "So are we going to talk about-" she finishes my sentence "the almost kiss?" I nod blushing.
"Listen Mia I'm-" before I can finish she pulls me in for the gentlest kiss ever. After a minute we pull apart. "As you were saying?" She asks. I wrack my mind "I forget after that kiss" she smirks. "Thought you might" she laughs.
The two of us get up exiting the park gates and placing the things in the boot before sitting down in the front seat of the car. "So we're going to go home and get ready and then go for drinks?" Mia questions me and I nod. She then places her hand on my leg as we drive home.
When we arrive I hurriedly throw on my dress, touch up my makeup and brush my hair. Right as I'm about to leave I grab my handbag throwing a hairbrush money and my phone into it. "You ready?" I hear Mia call up the stairs "one second" I call back going into the bathroom and brushing my teeth arriving downstairs minutes later "wow" Mia looks me up and down "you look wow" I laugh. "You don't look so bad yourself" I tell her walking out to the car and sitting in the passenger seat.
As we arrive at the bar I see autumn and winter kissing in the front of their car before making their way inside. "Should we go?" I'm about to hop out of the car when Mia grabs my hand. "I know your friends don't like me babe are you sure this is a good idea?"
I smirk "babe huh?" I question. It was the first time I'd seen Mia so flustered "uh I um" she couldn't even form words never mind a sentence "listen Mia I'm more than sure. If my friends can't except you then their not my real friends" Mia kisses me. "Thanks char" we exit the car going inside. "Autumn, winter hey" I smile. Autumns eyes flick to Mia looking her up and down. I already knew what was going through her head "hi" autumn says looking down. Winter says hi as his usual bubbly self. "Where are the others?" I ask her curiously and autumn points over to the counter where Jodie, Carly and a boy are ordering. "Who's that?" I wonder aloud. Autumn smirks "seems like Carly found herself a guy. His names Adam" autumn answers my question. I smirk "good for her"
Autumns POV:
After seeing Mia and Charlotte at the park I wasn't surprised to see Mia show up with Charlotte. A few hours ago I would never have believed the guest she'd asked to bring would be Mia. "Char I need the bathroom come with?" I ask Charlotte. I see her whisper something in Mia's ear before getting up.
Winters POV:
Once autumn and Charlotte leave it's extremely awkward. Just me and Mia sat there "uh soo" I say not knowing what to talk about. She smiles politely crossing her arms "when do Reece and Marjorie get back? I never got the full details" I ask trying to make conversation. "Uh in a week or so I think I guess we'll know closer to the time" Mia shrugs.
Charlottes POV:
When we arrive in the bathroom autumn starts touching up her hair before finally turning to me and asks me the question I knew was weighing on her mind "are you and Mia you know together?"
I swallow before nodding. "Are you mad?" I ask concerned that she'd be mad "no you can't control who you like. I know that for a fact but I can't promise Marjorie will be ok with it" she looks down.
"I'm scared to tell her. Maybe I'll do it when she gets back thanks for understanding" I hug autumn. She smiles "it's what best friends are for" I smile at the use of the words "best friends" considering I'd always thought of autumn as my best friend within the nursery. We both exit the bathroom going back to the others.
