It was now night and the group was sitting in the living room. No one was talking.

"So Potter," Severus said, "What are you going to do?" He asked, and Harry sighed.

"I don't know, professor," he said, leaning back against Fenrir.

"You have to make a decision quickly," Tom said, talking directly to Harry for the first time since he arrived. "Look, Potter. You're a kid. This war is no place for you or any of those kids at that school. I don't want to hurt any of you kids, especially when you mean so much to my mate," the red-eyed man said, and Harry looked at Severus, who looked a bit red in the face.

"Professor," Harry said and Severus looked back at him. "Can we talk privately?" Harry asked, and Severus simply stood.

Getting the idea, Harry got up and led him upstairs to his bedroom and out to the balcony. "You've never lied to me, right?" Harry asked, and Severus hummed in agreement.

"So what should I do?" He asked, and Severus sighed, stepping forward and leaning over the railing.

"I can't tell you what to do Harry," He said softly, "The decision to go back is on you, I can tell you are happy here, you smile and laugh and you have a light in your eyes. I never saw that at Hogwarts, you slouched around and laughed a few times, never looking very happy," Severus told him, and Harry looked at the man shocked, he never knew the man paid attention to him.

"I...I never thought about that," Harry said, and Severus hesitantly put an arm on Harry's shoulder.

"Look, Harry," he said, looking at him intently. "It might not seem like I care a lot about anything, but I do. My family most of all. Tom is at the top of the list, and you are a close second," he said, and Harry looked at him shocked.

"Don't look so shocked Potter," he said, huffing, "Your mother meant a lot to me, your father didn't like that. We kept in touch even after she married him. When she asked me to be your Godfather, I immediately agreed. I was there when you were born. I held her hand because your father was off on an Auror mission." Severus said, shaking his head with a small smile, "I agreed to be your godfather, but until I actually held you. I didn't know what that meant. I promised to protect you and do everything in my power to make sure you're happy; if staying here makes you happy, then stay. If you want to go back for a few days, see how that works out, then come back, you can do that too," Severus said, and Harry looked up at him wide-eyed, surprised at what the man had told him.

Without thinking, Harry hugged him. Severus grunted before hugging back. "Thanks, professor," he said, and Severus hummed.

"Let's get back," He said, leading Harry back down the stairs.

When they got back, the room was quiet. Harry sat beside Fenrir, who immediately wrapped an arm around him.

"Are you OK?" The wolf whispered and Harry nodded.

"I decided that I would go back to Hogwarts," Harry said and felt the werewolf stiffen beside him.

Harry quickly grabbed his hand and held it tightly. " But just for a few days, to see if I wanted to stay," he said, and Fenrir slightly relaxed.

"Alright, we leave after breakfast," Tom said and Harry nodded, standing he took Fenrir's hand and pulled him upstairs.

"Fenrir," Harry said, "I don't want to leave you, but I want to go back and see if it's really like they said, and then I'll come back," he told the wolf.

"How do you know that, you might go back and decide to stay," Fenrir said, and Harry sighed

"I know, I will. I feel something for you, I just don't know what, but I will be back I'm a month I promise." He said and Fenrir looked at him for a minute.

"Promise?" He asked and Harry grinned.

"I promise,"
