One Last Star

Chapter 1

Looking out the car window I sigh as I stare up at the house I haven't seen since I was 14. As soon as I open my car door I see my cousin. "Elena you're here" she shrieked as she pulled me in for a hug. "Lydia I'm here" I mocked back. Lydia pulled me out of the hug with her hands still on my shoulders "Stop mocking me I need at least one good thing to happen to me this year". We both giggled and carried my luggage into the house.
I saw my Aunt Natalie by the sink, washing the dishes with her eyes full of tears. I went over to hug her "Thanks" I whispered while we hugged. She looked straight into my eyes, "It's no problem, anyways you and Lydia are a that I have left." I smiled back at her as I started to walk away. "Oh and one more thing your room is the one on the left, right across from Lydia's" I nodded back as I walked upstairs.
I saw a dresser in the hallway with a picture frame on it. I picked up the picture frame only to see a picture of my brother, my parents, and me. Tears ran down my face as I remembered that night.
'"Jeremy" I yelled as I threw my body down next to his. I grabbed his hand to see that he still had his ring on. "Its fine, its fine your going to be okay the ring will bring you back".
I walked into my house with Stefan following behind carrying Jeremy. I put my stuff down ignoring everything Caroline said. "Come on lets get him upstairs" I demanded. Stefan put Jeremy on his bed. I took the blanket off him, sat on the bed and grabbed his hand looking at Jeremy's ring. "Can I get you anything" Stefan asked. "No I am just going to sit here next to him until he wakes up, let me know if you hear anything about Bonnie, okay". "Yeah sure" Stefan nodded. I took the blanket and put it back on Jeremy as I grabbed his hand. I stared at his body for hours. I heard Stefan and Caroline talking about how I was in denial and stuff. "I am not in denial I know that he was supernatural, but did you see his tattoo's gone. The tattoo had the spell that opened Siles's chamber, maybe it being gone means he profiled his supernatural destiny, maybe he's back to normal, it's possible right" "Elena" Caroline tried to say. "It's possible Caroline there's a chance, it maybe miniscule but its hope and I am going to hold on to that hope, with everything that I've got cause there's no way that... there's absolutely no way that my brothers dead, I am not in denial" I walked away.'
I shook my head to get me back to the real world. I walked into the room that already had all the necessities in it. I started unpacking my stuff but there wasn't much because I wanted to start off new. "Hey Elena" Lydia came in a sat on my bed. "My mom said we can go shopping tomorrow for some new clothes for you and you wouldn't happen to want to go to a party tonight, would you?" she asked while she jumped up. "Lydia" she cut me off "It's a great way for you to meet people and I can't go unless you go" I gave her a look that said fine.
Lydia grabbed my wrist and pulled me into her room. She started going through her closet and pulled out some clothes for me to wear. "Her wear these and you can keep them, they aren't really my style anymore" she handed me a lilac ruffled shirt, light wash jeans that had rips in them, a brown cross body and nude ankle booties. I left her room so she could get ready and went to get dressed.
I looked in the mirror at myself, I like this look. It's new and not want I am use to. Lydia came in my room all ready. She was wearing a white crochet bralet, a floral skirt and brown wedges. She curled her hair and had on light pink lipstick with natural eyeshadow. "Your done" she said questioning my look. "Yep" I was happy with how I looked. "No, no, no your not" she pulled me back into her room and sat me down at her vanity.
By the time she was done I had loose curls and brown smokey eye with winged eyeliner.
We went downstairs to say goodbye to Aunt Natalie and to eat a little bit. After we were done we headed out to Lydia's car and left to go to the party.

So this isn't really a great chapter. Not a lot happened but you guys wanted a chapter so here it is. Tell me what you think and what I should fix. Sorry if there's any grammar errors.
