In 1999, the Belmonts sealed Dracula, bringing an end to the battle. However, in 2017, during a solar eclipse, a boy named Soma Cruz was born. Soma grew up with a close friendship with Mina, the daughter of the Hakuba Shrine's priest.
At the age of 18, during another solar eclipse, Soma and Mina were transported to Castlevania. It was there that Soma discovered he was the reincarnation of Dracula. To prevent himself from succumbing to his dark fate, Soma had to destroy Dracula's source of power, Chaos. He ventured into the Chaotic Realm, defeated Chaos, and thus prevented Dracula's return.
Despite multiple cults attempting to turn him into what he was destined to be, Soma managed to evade them all. He eventually settled down with Mina and lived out his life, dying of natural causes. But his story did not end there.
Soma awoke in a void, appearing in his prime. As he glanced around, his attention was drawn to a hooded figure in a black cloak, hovering in the air. The figure's pale skin was visible on his hands and beneath his hood, along with his mouth. The figure spoke, "Pathetic... Pathetic, Dracula. Ultimately pathetic. Do you really think you can continue avoiding your destiny?"
Soma tried to use the Power of Dominance, but it failed. "Who are you?" he asked, frustration evident as he stepped back, defenseless. The hooded figure smirked and replied, "You'll know... One day." The figure raised his hand, and everything went white.
