Modoru walks to the Clock Tower with Kasumi, both of them holding each other's hands. A Medusa Head swooped down at them but he was quick enough to slash it with his sword, resulting with it bursting in flames on the air. He looked at Kasumi in concern.
"Are you alright, Kasumi?"
Sh;e nodded her head, still gripping his tigtly, which he is also doing. They don't want to end up losing each other. "Yeah, don't worry, Modoru. Its fine."
They hopped on gears, dodged Medusa Heads, dodged the bullets of Bone Muskets, avoided the gas Catoblepases breaths (one time Kasumi gets petrified, Modoru gets extremely enraged and kills them).
Kasumi panted as she got unpetrified and broke out of her state as a stone statue, finding Modoru stabbing the Catoblepas multiple times at the face before he backflipped away as it bursted into flames.
His face softened as he looked at her. "Sorry about that..." Modoru said wrapping his arms around her. She was taken by surprise at the gesture but hugged back. It was clear she was truly important to him, for he always gets enraged when she is hurt, even if its just a scratch.
They continued to advance through the Clock Tower. After a while the duo reached a bridge, crossing it as water flowed and gears rotated below.
Modoru opened the soda can which he found in the Castle Kitchen, which was deserted. Modern food were strangely there along with the ones from long ago.
He took a sip... But ended up spitting it, the very liquid falling onto the water below the bridge, slightly changing the color.
"Ugh, Kasumi is this even a soda? I can't understand the words on it. Its in Latin I guess" He told her as he handed it to her. She was good at other languages. "Hmm let's see..." she said looking at it... And her face frowned into a disgusted expression. "MODORU!! THAT'S BLOOD MIXED WITH A BRAIN'S FLUID!!"
"WHAT?!" Modoru asked in absolute terror. He immediately tossed it off the bridge in disgust as he looked for any source of water or any beverage for him to wash off the taste... Unfortunately, there was none. "Fuck my life." Modoru muttered as they advanced.
The duo continued to walk. Both disgusted completely. "Whatever kind of creature of the night made that... He is what I call a total madman." She said.
"Agreed." Modoru said, as they walked through an empty hallway in the Clock Tower. Soon they reached the boss room and entered. A white haired young man was hovering there.
