Modoru stayed close to Kasumi as they walked with Yamaju and Chisami through the corridor. Chisami's fighting style consists of taunting her opponents and make it clear that she can't be killed easily while she just takes the defensive and allow her opponent to tire himself, or either get too invested in trying to kill her immediately out of sheer annoyance.
This would allow her to take advantage of the situation by suddenly dashing away somewhere before suddenly attacking from behind.
Later, when they were walking through the castle's laboratory, Modoru was examining stuff. There were multiple hi tech gadgets.
"Weirdass, how the hell did gadgets from our time period end up here?" Modoru asked as he checked a hi tech rocket launcher, which was capable of automatically generating rockets, and it can be used like a machine gun.
Chisami rolled her eyes. "This castle is a creature of chaos, it's capable of having stuff from multiple time periods."
Yamaju went over to a telescope as he casually decapitated a zombie with his greatsword, before looking through it. He can see a view of Mars on space. Kasumi walked over to him and smiled sweetly. "Heya, Yamaju. What are you looking at?"
"Mars." Yamaju said quietly. Ever since he was young, he was fond of space. He wanted to be an astrologist when he grows up.
Chisami walked over to a chessboard... The sight of it seemed to annoy her that she just tossed one of the pieces at a nearby skeleton's skull, and the piece pierced through it like a bullet piercing through someone's skin.
Modoru looked at that insane display of strength as his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "W-Woah..." he said...
He doesn't really know how he should react. He loves Chess, so he is a bit mad, but he is more amazed by her skill.
Chisami shrugged simply. "Dad taught me how to do it as a kid." she said as she looked around the place.
"Umm..." Modoru said awkwardly. "Didn't ya hate your dad?"
"I did. But eh, skills are valuable, so I used what he taught me anyways. That's just my human side telling me how to survive."
Yamaju grabbed out a map he made and placed it down on a bench as he elbowed away a slime that tried to lunge at him and sliced it to half, before looking back at the map. "All of you, can you guys get here?" he requested politely.
Everyone did as he said. Yamaju decided to tell them to split up so they can clear each area of bosses faster. Modoru will join Kasumi on the Clock Tower while Yamaju himself and Chisami will attack the Dance Hall.
Modoru was relieved by this, since he doesn't wanna be stuck with Chisami. She might even use him as meat shield.
