"hello! welcome to the first quidditch game of the season. today's game, slytherin versus gryffindor!" lee jordan announces wildly. athena, blaise, and theo were in the slytherin stand. they were all watching intently but athena was most excited to see harry play his first game. she knew he was nervous, but she also knew that he would do amazing.
"the players take their positions as madam hooch steps out onto the field to begin the game!" athena looks down on the field to see madam hooch, opening a chest.
madam hooch says something that athena can't hear but after that she kicks the chest and the bludgers erupt out of the chest, along with the golden snitch. madam hooch grabs the quaffle and throws it up into the air. the game begins.
the cheering from the crowd gets louder as angelina johnson scores ten points for gryffindor. athena turns to see theo and blaise with their heads in the hands. athena honestly couldn't care less. she didn't care which house won but secretly she was wishing for harry to win the game. as much as she loved her house, she also really wanted to see harry grab the golden snitch and beat the slytherin team.
the captain of the slytherin team, marcus flint, tries to score a point but is blocked by oliver wood. she heard groans come from both theo and blaise again. she rolled her eyes at the boys' disappointment.
athena basically zoned out for the rest of the game. that was until blaise adn theo nudged her. she looked up at the game to see harry moving oddly on his broom. it seemed to be.. malfunctioning? she looked around her to see draco laughing at the boy but stopping when he met athena's glare. she noticed snape intently staring at harry and muttering something.
