"one of a wizard's most rudimentary skills, is levitation. or the ability to make things fly." professor flitwick told the class. currently, they were all sat in charms class, listening to him talk about how to make things levitate.
after the events of the previous night, athena was curious as to why the cerberus was there. when she went back to her dorm, she started remembering the scene and realized that the three-headed dog was standing on a trap door, guarding something.
"do you have your feathers?" the professor asked the class, everyone nodded. "good, now don't forget the nice wrist movement we've been practising. the swish and flick." he demonstrated. "everyone." he motioned for them to do it with him. they followed his instructions slowly.
"the swish and flick. good. oh, and enunciate. wingardium leviosa. off you go, then." he told everyone. they all started attempting to do the spell. beside athena looked beside her to see that blaise and theo were failing at getting the spell to work. they kept on flicking their wands, hoping that it would finally work.
"your both gonna hit me with your wands if you keep doing that." athena told the two boys while covering her head so she doesn't get hit.
theo rolled his eyes at the girls actions flicked her on the arm with his wand just to get a reaction out of her. she flicked him back and they kept on going back and forth before blaise had enough of it and interrupted them.
"have you even tried the spell yet?" blaise asked athena. athena stopped hitting theo and shook her head, she then turned back to her feather.
"wingardium leviosa." swish and flick. the feather started levitating and she kept moving her wand so that it could keep rising.
