I wake up the next morning to feed River and take him on a walk. As we walk I see Skyler again and she ask me how I've been at camp. I say it's fine.
"So," asks Skyler. "Who do you think is your godly parent is?"
"I don't know." I answer. "I'm pretty sure everyone thinks I'm Apollo's kid. Cause' of, you know, last night."
"Yeah, I thought so too." she says.
"Just asking," I ask, "Do children of Apollo usually have fire powers?"
"No, it's kids of Hephaestus that rarely have fire powers." she replies.
"Oh, yeah that makes sense." I say.
"Well I have to go now, so, bye!" she says as she jogs away.
"Bye!" I call after her.
I bring River near the pavilion and leave him there.
"Breakfast is starting soon," I tell him. "So be good till I'm back."
"ARF" he answers.
I walk back to the cabin just as everyone's about to leave. We all walk to the pavilion and have pancakes or waffles with maple syrup. I wolf mine down and I go over to River who's been waiting there patiently. I give him a treat for his good behaviour, then I walk over to my first class of the day.
My first class was sword fighting with a guy named Percy Jackson. He is a son of Poseidon and was one of the people who defeated the giants and stopped Gaia from waking. He taught me all the basics, blocking and slashing and stuff, but I could never get the hang of it.
Then it was Ancient Greek with Skyler. I was no good at it, even though I could read english just fine. By the end of it though I could read a few simple sentences and write a few basic words.
Later I had weapon making with Leo Valdez. He is a son of Hephaestus and was also on of the people who defeated the giants and stopped Gaia from waking. He showed me how to work the forges, safety tips, and how to not accidentally burn yourself.
"So, do you want to forge anything?" asks Leo.
"Sure, what should I make?" I ask back.
"Whatever you want!" says Leo.
Leo and I get to work, him showing me how the different tools in the forge work. We start with materials, making a celestial bronze block coated in copper. Then, we make the handle. A two foot long pole made from sturdy oak wood. He shows me that he can enchant it. I ask him if the hammer can be permanently on fire, and he agrees to do it. After almost an hour, the hammer is finished.
"What are you gonna call it?" Leo asks.
"Huh?" I reply.
"Well, all weapons need a name." He says.
"Pyrosvéstis." I say.
"Flame bringer. " says Leo. "Good choice."
Leo uses his fire powers to engrave the name on the handle.
"Why don't you go test it out!"
