-Atlanta, Georgia, USA-
"Who is going in what party?" was the first thing said by Precious, as Saira proposed to go at a block party in the area the 3 girls had practically grew up in.
"Oh c'mon, I'm sure everything is going to be fine." Lola said chuckling as she swiftly placed her legs on top of Saira's.
Except to Precious it was not fine. Growing up in her neighbourhood, she only remembered the endless and useless fights and the shootings especially at parties. What annoyed her the most was that they always seem to start between midnight and three A.M, which she had qualified of ritualistic shootings since she was as little as twelve.
The three girls had known each other since they were seven year old. Saira and Lola had been in the same neighbourhood since birth but had only started hanging out when Precious moved from France in second grade. It took one single class and trying to teach Precious English for them to be tight, locked in and ready to sail. Even thought, Precious did not like the area that much, since for her it never made sense for her family to move from a bad area to another one and this time not even understanding what's being talked about, but her two friends that she considered to be sisters made it a whole lot better for her.
Now, the three had decided to live in their own house not to far from Clark University, which is where they intended.
"Plus, my man's going to be with us, so we're going to be safe out here." Lola added, making Precious chuckle in disbelief.
"Your man?"
"Girl...your man be the main reason why we can never enjoy dem parties too much" Saira said laughing, which resulted in Lola rolling her eyes cause she knew exactly where this was going.
She had been dating "her man" aka Chris since the girls were in high-school till now. She loved that man with her honest heart, but that didn't change he wasn't the most amazing man. He is what Saira qualified of a wannabe gangster and Precious called him "a shrimp" synonym of broke manipulative still somehow stupid ass nigga in her books, but regardless she loved that man...even through the emotional and physical cheating.
"Guys, I know it sounds bad but..." that line was directly cut by Precious who directly said what any normal thinking person would say. "No, it's just bad."
"Horrifying"
"Petrifying"
"Make my blood run cold"
"Okay, damn." Lola said holding her arms put toward the two girls as a sign to stop.
"I'm sorry, but your man is strapped and really I think someone should take that away from him. He's always shooting someone's ceiling for no damn reason, now WHEN it be time to shoot the person in the foot or something..." Precious just went silent as it symbolised the amount of action that was put by the man.
"And his talk the same size as his lips...big and he can't back up that talk." Saira added nodding. The often reoccurring conversation was quite irritating to Lola but she couldn't help but laugh a bit at what her friends were saying as it did hold truth.
"I can't lie, the way he shoots at the ceiling is so funny" she said as she just started laughing.
"Holding his crotch like he a cowboy" said Saira as she was laughing along with the two other girls. But before the conversation could get side tracked she quickly went back to the main topic.
