My phone flashed Blake's name I declined and went back to sleep. After two minutes again, Blake's name flashed, and I sighed. "Who is dying?"

"What are you doing tonight?" asked Blake.

I muttered. "Last time I checked, you were my best friend, not my girlfriend."

Blake responded. "I knew you would be free; I was just being nice to ask."

Now that Blake is being nice to me, my eyes are wide open to the fact that it never ends well for me. "What are you up to?"

Blake chuckled. "You're coming with me tonight. I have a date with Thea."

I asked. "Listen, I have enough of this being a third wheel..."

Blake didn't even let me complete it. "One last time, please."

I shook my head. "You said that a lot of times already in the past."

Blake was trying to convince me, but I knew he was lying. "But this will be the last time, I swear."

I sighed. "Go to hell, you fucker."

Blake laughed. "I will send you the location."

I pulled the phone from my ear and said it in a loud voice. "And I won't come."

I ended the call and tossed my phone on the bed. My phone buzzed but I didn't bother to check because I knew Blake must have sent the location. After about an hour, I reached the place despite my suspicions. I started looking for Blake, and he was sitting with Thea, holding hands. A wave of awkwardness washed over me. However, I chose to play along.

After a few minutes, Thea received a phone call, and she excused herself. Thea came back after about ten minutes, and to my surprise, she wasn't alone. Thea was coming to us holding the hand of another girl. Both were giggling and talking. I instantly realized the truth behind Blake's happy demeanor.

I looked at Blake and clenched my jaw. "So, you set me up with a girl?"

Blake nodded and there was no sign of guilt on his face. "You need someone to think about you."

I squinted. "What do you mean?"

Blake explained me in his brief style. "Sometimes you need to let loose in life, and tonight is your chance," and then he shushed me. "They're coming; just go with it and have fun."

Blake winked at me mischievously and I wanted to punch him right in the nose. Thea introduced the girl. "This is Gisele, my best friend."

She held out her hand and I hesitantly shook hands with her. Thea told her. "And this is Ian, Blake's best friend."

Thea and Gisele settled down and we all started talking to each other, but the truth is, Blake was trying his hardest to make me and Gisele talk to each other. When it was time to order food, Blake held Thea's hand and stood up, made up some excuse and left me alone with a girl.

I waved at Blake with a curse in my heart, then I looked at Gisele. "This is really awkward."

Gisele giggled. "You've never been on a date before."

My eyes widened. "Is it that obvious?"

Gisele nodded. "Because for the last ten minutes, you didn't talk to me at all. "

I squeezed my eyes in embarrassment. "Please excuse my lack of etiquette."

I asked, "How about we start over?"

"Like, how?" Gisele asked.

I held out my hand. "Hi, I am Ian, and you?"

She smiled and shook hands. "I am Gisele."

Our conversation went smoothly, and as the night went on, I felt more at ease. After the dinner, I asked her if I should drop her. Gisele smiled and nodded.

I dropped Gisele off at her place, and she got off my bike. "If I say it was a nice time with you, you won't expect anything further, right?"

She laughed and shook her head. "Good night, Ian."

After shaking hands, I sensed she was upset because of my uptight attitude. It was all over her face. When she was about to turn around, I pulled her close and smashed my lips against hers. To my surprise, she did not resist and kissed me back. I couldn't stop, then moved my hands down and grabbed her waist, her hands buried in my hair like she didn't want to break our kiss but before I slid my tongue down her throat, I broke the kiss and asked. "Do you live alone?"

She nodded and we went inside.

The next morning, I tried to sneak out of her bed, but she caught me. "Sneaking?"

I squeezed my eyes and turned around. "I didn't want to bother you."

Gisele sat up. "Hey, I knew it was just a one-time thing, so relax."

I shot up my shoulders. "I had a good time but didn't know how to tell you this without making things complicated, so I decided to sneak out."

Gisele raised her brow. "It was your first time, right?"

I showed my false bravado. "What makes you say this?"

She pointed at me. "Because only the first timer doesn't know how to face last night's hookup in the morning."

I smiled. "I think I should go."

Gisele nodded. "As you wish."

At the door, I turned around. "What would you tell Thea and Blake about last night?"

Gisele tilted her head. "Thea won't ask but I am not sure about Blake.

I nodded and walked out. I texted Blake that I would be at his penthouse in thirty minutes. I didn't even wait for him to answer; I hopped on my bike. While heading to his place, I thought about the dream I had years ago. The girl with green eyes was crying and when I asked her the reason, she looked at me and smiled with tears in her eyes. Those stunning eyes were stuck in my mind. I had those eyes tattooed on my chest, and only Blake knew about it.

Every day I would look at the tattoo, and it would remind me of how I felt in that dream and how strong I felt our connection. No one knows because of those eyes; I never had a girl in my life. Those magical eyes were my first tattoo. Since then, I've gotten tattoos on my arms, knuckles, and neck. Due to this, I prefer to wear long-sleeved shirts so that my mom, dad, and Father Fredrick won't see them all. even though I know they won't say anything because my neck and knuckle ink are visible.

I reached Blake's place and put my hand on his damn doorbell at precisely the 31st minute. He opened the door with one arm on the door. "Someone got lucky last night."

I punched his chest and walked inside. "I can't believe what you did to me."

"If I had told you, would you have come?" Blake asked.

I turned to him. "Of course not."

Blake pointed at me. "Did you have fun last night?"

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, I had a good time."

Blake said, "You asshat."

I raised my brow. "But next time, don't you dare set me up with anyone."

Blake flicked his hand. "Just relax, Gisele was not looking for anything serious. Okay, enough about you. Now listen to me. I asked Thea to move in with me."

I asked. "And?"

Blake punched down in the air. "And she said yes."
