The moment I stopped my bike in front of my parents, I immediately texted Renna, "Reach," and then I climbed off my bike. Agatha opened the door and crossed her arms across her chest. "You never brought red flowers for mom ever."

I opened my mouth but mom intervened. "Agatha, let your brother come inside first."

I smiled to annoy her. "Listen to mom." and I walked past her.

I put flowers and sweets aside and hugged Mom. She asked, "Have you stopped eating?

I giggled and my dad responded. "Bethany, you have had this doubt since he left for the college."

I looked around and asked. "Where is Agnes?"

Agatha looked at Dad and then immediately ran into the kitchen. I looked at Mom and she cleared her throat. "Actually, we invited Liam and his family for dinner as well so Agness will join us with them."

My eyes widened. "You should have told me about it. I would have brought something for them."

Mom and Dad were looking at me with open mouths. Agatha came back from the kitchen and asked. "Did you mean you have no intention to threaten Liam?"

I shot up my shoulders. "Why would I do that if Agness is happy with Liam?"

Agatha looked at Mom. "I am telling you something is wrong. He brought red flowers and heart-shaped chocolate and now he is okay with Liam."

Before I responded, Dad intervened. "Agatha, go help your mom and Ian; you come with me."

I was with Dad in the backyard, helping renovate his gazebo. I received a text from Renna and it was a photo of her sandwich: "Want a bite?"

I smiled and sent her a photo of the gazebo: "Working hard."

Agatha cleared her throat and I looked at her. "Dad, Ian, lunch is ready."

When we were all having lunch, I sent Renna a photo of our lunch. Agatha asked. "Who are you sending photos?"

I shot up my shoulders. "Friend."

Agatha stopped eating. "You mean Blake?"

I looked at her. "Blake is not the only friend in this world."

Agatha leaned back. "All my life I have only seen Blake your friend."

Agatha added. "Does this friend have anything to do with your changed attitude?"

I looked at Mom and Dad. "Is she always acting like this detective or is today different?"

Everyone laughed and Agatha continued to monitor my every move until Liam and his family came. After dinner, Agatha was loading the washer and I went to her. "Do you need any help?"

Agatha nodded. "Tell me the name of your friend."

I sighed. "Renna."

Agnes entered the kitchen. "Thanks for not threatening Liam."

I squared my shoulders. "I am happy for you both.'

Agnes looked at Agatha. "Is he fine?"

Agatha giggled. "Maybe next time Ian would visit us with her friend Renna."

Agnes said it loudly in excitement. "OMG."

I shushed them both and Dad called us as Liam's family was leaving. I looked at Mom. "It's time for me to go back."

Mom nodded and she whispered in my ear while hugging. "I am eager to meet your friend."

I smiled. "See you soon, Ma."

I waved at Agatha and Agnes. Dad walked towards the door. "Dad, you don't need to come out."

When I climbed on the bike, Dad kept his hand over my shoulder. "Son, I am happy for you but keep in mind there is no need to rush for anything. Let time do its magic and when you think it's time, then take another step."

I sighed. "Was I that obvious?"

Dad smiled. "It's getting late, son. Goodbye."

I have been talking to Renna via texting the whole day. It was the first time I was stuck with my phone so obviously everyone sensed. I never got hooked up with anyone before. When I returned home, I was thinking, Should I text Renna or not? Maybe she was sleeping or writing. Should I disturb her or not?

I tried to distract myself but failed miserably I picked up my keys and drove to her hotel. I tried my luck. "Are you up?"

Renna replied within a minute. "You came back?"

I sighed while typing. "I am at your hotel."

Renna didn't respond I waited for a few minutes. I was about to call her but my eyes landed on her. She was running towards me, wearing a smile on her face. I got off the bike and opened my arms. He held me tight and I embraced her in my arms. I whispered. "Damn, I missed you so much."

Renna nodded. "I missed you too."

I kissed her forehead. "Did I disturb you?"

Renna shook her head. I sighed. "I wanted to see you. Now you should go back to your room. See you in the morning."

Renna held my arms. "Let's walk for a while."

During the walk, I told her about Agatha's investigation, to which Renna laughed. I told Renna about my whole day like I was a kid. When we returned to my bike, I told her it was time to call it a night, to which she whined. "Please don't leave."

I nodded. "Alright, how about I go to your room and after you doze off, I will leave?"

Renna nodded and held my hand. "That's a good idea."

When we entered the room, I kissed Renna and sat on a chair. "You can sleep; I'll be right here."

Renna squinted. "Come on, I couldn't sleep with a fear you'd leave. At least come to bed with me."

I looked at Renna. "Renna, don't risk what we have, please."

She held out her hand. "Don't worry, I'll make a pillow wall between us."

Now we are in bed with a pillow wall between us. I slipped my hands beneath my head and looked at the ceiling. I know she is wide awake due to her twisting and turning. I asked her bluntly. "Do you think we are in a serious relationship?"

Renna lifted her head and looked at me. "What?"

I turned to her and she kept her face on pillows between us. "You heard me."

Renna sighed. "But what makes you say this?"

I kept my hand under my head. "We connected all the time, can't take hands off each other when we meet, we miss each other and stuff like that. I mean, it never happened to me. What about you?"

Renna started mimicking me. "Let's not label what we have."

I was taken aback and laughed. "What?

Renna again mimicking me. " "Come on, Renna. Stop playing dumb with me. If you want me to say it loud, so listen. There is something between you and me and I want to explore it."

I sat up. "Stop it."

Renna continued. "Trust me, I don't believe in relationship cliches but this is the first time I have felt this way..."

I didn't let her complete and started tickling her so that she would stop mimicking me. Renna was about to run away but I climbed to her side and pinned her beneath me, holding her hands above her head.
