Eternal souls: a connection beyond fate

Chapter 1

On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreaves, the eccentric billionaire, and adventurer resolved to locate and adopt as many children as possible. (Not that they could care for them) He got seven of them.

"KLAUS GIVE ME BACK MY FIREWHISKEY," I said. "Never," said Klaus, still laughing while running around the apartment.

"Klaus that's a magical drink if you drink it you'll probably get sick". I said trying to get my drink back, Klaus swears he'll be fine but he's never tried an alcoholic beverage before, and it's never been tested what happens when a muggle drinks that stuff. "Oh please a little cold I can handle," Klaus said, taking a sip But I sighed, "Ben tell him to stop, this drink has got to quit"
His stubbornness and bravado, are a dangerous mix.

"What makes you think he'll listen to me," said Ben,

I shake my hand and lay on the couch, being friends with Klaus is a workout in itself, and that's coming from someone who helped kill a basilisk and almost died every year at Hogwarts, Klaus knows I'm a witch since he accidentally got shot with a spell, but luckily it was just a stunner nothing Sirius, ha see what I did there, anyways when he woke up he didn't seem that surprised at being hit with magic, only said it 'felt weird' since then we've been besties and he told me about his dad, siblings, and introduced me to Ben, who I can see, we haven't figured out why but oh well, and in return, I told him all about the wizarding world and me, he found pleasure knowing Draco was turned into a ferret.

"Anywho I'm going to go get some of the good stuff I'll be back," said the now very drunk man.
"Klaus you can't be serious you just had that fire-whiskey, drugs are just going to make it worse they ain't even good for you anyway" I try and convince him but he won't budge, stupid stubbornness.

Once Klaus left I decided that I needed to work on some magic, I have O.W.L.S. next year and I'll be dammed if I let these five years of studying go to waste, Hermione would be proud.

I head into my bedroom which has an extension charm on it, I pull out a book on advanced potion making and sit down a read.
Sometime in the middle of reading, I got a phone call, "Hello" I spoke softly "Hi are you Sofia Potter" said the woman on the phone,
"Yes," I said  "We called because you're on Klaus Hargreaves' emergency number," said the woman who I now know is a doctor

"Oh my gosh is he okay" I panicked, what if it was the fire whiskey, oh I knew I should've taken that away,
"Yes, he's just fine he just a an overdose but we were able to get him conscious again can you come to pick him up?

"Yeah, I'll be right there" I hang up and immediately grab my keys and leave, making sure I lock the door, I pull up to the sidewalk to see Klaus staring at the TV. I roll the window down to get his attention. "Hey, do you know someone with long black hair, kinda looks greasy?" Klaus turns around and smiles. Once he's in the car, I drive home. "I'll have you know my hair is magnificent," he says, doing a hair flip.

"Sure, buddy," I say as I stop at a red light. "So, why were you staring at the TV's back there?" I ask, remembering how he had that smile on his face. "Oh, my father died," he said so casually.

I try not to smile knowing it's rude, but I can't help it, his dad was an ass if I'm being honest, I guess Klaus saw my struggle, and because he said ". Oh no you can smile I'm so glad"

I can't help I smile "Say uh you wanna attend the funeral with me i mean you can finally meet the rest of my siblings, oh they're gonna love you," he says

"I don't want to intrude on something that Is family time, " oh you're family to me you can be my plus one" he winks as he says that.

"Ok fine, just cause I don't want you to go and deal with your siblings alone" I finally say I park the car.

Klaus gets out and immediately goes running towards the elevator, and I chase after him. We have this game we made where we see who can make it to the apartment door first. Klaus wins, again, and we laugh as we go inside. I head to bed after making sure Klaus is lying down on the couch. If I am going to a funeral tomorrow, I need to be well-rested.
