CHAPTER 3 - I'LL SEE YOU THERE TOMORROW

*FIRST PERSON*
After 10 minutes or maybe even more, the sounds of the door unlocking was finally heard. 'Yerim!' Haewon said as she rushed inside. 'I was wondering where you were so I asked the teacher.... Oh hi.' She looked surprised seeing Shinyu sitting next to me. She smirked at me before gesturing us to leave the room. As we walked down the hallway, Haewon kept on elbowing me. 'I will explain once we get back' I mouthed. She nodded after figuring out with I said. At the exact moment, a guy walked up to us. 'Shinyu! Finally where were you.' He said while throwing his arm around his shoulder. 'That's Taerae, he's also in the vocal department.' Haewon said quietly. But her tone of voice sounded different to when she normally speaks. 'Do you... like him?!' I gasped. She quickly hit my arm before Taerae can hear our conversation. 'I'm taking that as a yes.' I giggled. I waved bye to Shinyu before heading into our classroom. 'Sooooooo what happened' Haewon couldn't wait for my story. I had to explain starting from when the rest of the class to when she came looking for me. 'Anddd the rest is history.' She squealed after hearing our story. 'It sounds like you're in a kdrama!'. The school bell rang as soon as Haewon finished her sentence. Everyone packed up and left. I asked for her social media and waved bye. Jennie and I decided to met up at the entrance afterschool. She was surrounded by girls and she waved bye to all of them. 'Well looks like someone is becoming popular on the first day of school.' I said as I sneaked up to her. 'It's not called popular, it's being nice and friendly to everyone. Anyways, how was your day?'. I thought of a way to describe it. 'Let's say I might've met the love of my life.' I blushed and looked the other way so she couldn't see my face turning into a tomato. She noticed but chose to kept silent. I put on my AirPods and walked home since we only lived 10 minutes away.

While walking, I kept getting a feeling that someone was walking behind me, or even... following me? I used the camera on my phone and pretended to take a picture so I can see the person behind me. To my surprise, it was... Shinyu?! I guessed he lived near me. At the same moment, he looked up from his phone and saw me holding my phone up high. I coughed and began to pose for the camera. He looked down again, I assumed he didn't notice anything. Soon, me and Jennie reached our house. I looked back at Shinyu just to see him walking into the house right across the street. When I got into my room, I dropped my bag on the floor and went on instagram to let Haewon to know what I just found out.

I laughed at her text. I found Shinyu's instagram and took a look. He seems to like the beach and visiting cafes a lot. I thought about what would happen if I text him. Will he deny my offer? But this would be a great way to get closer to him. He's always so shy. I did it anyways.

I added the last sentence as an excuse just in case he finds me weird. At the exact moment, I realised my cringe username. What would he think about it. Will he think I'm weird and narcissistic? I questioned myself on why I dmed him. Oh well, I already did it so there's no way going back now.

HOURS LATER...
I got out of the shower and checked my phone. Still no response from Shinyu. I began to lose hope, but I tried to cheer up myself. He probably doesn't go on social media a lot and he's an introvert. It's okay if we don't walk, I have Jennie anyways. Just as I was about to head to sleep, my phone buzzed.

I kicked my feet in the air like a baby. I was going to walk to school, with my crush. Everything was going so smooth like a drama. I ran downstairs to let my sister know that I'm not gonna walk with her. She knew the reasons based of my expressions but she didn't say anything. I walked back into my room and hopped onto my bed. I played some music on the speaker through my phone and closed my eyes.

THE NEXT DAY..
I woke up extra early so I could style my hair and put on my makeup. I usually can't wake up early, unless it's for a special occasion. Shinyu has been on my mind 24/7 ever since the start of school, which was yesterday. It's only been a day. This is probably love at first sight. I took one last check in the mirror before heading out. I looked at my phone to check the time, it was 7:40. I thought I would get there early and wait for Shinyu, but I was wrong. He was already standing by the lights with his wired earphones. He was wearing a grey jersey with his hoods up. I walked over and tapped on his shoulder. He took off his hood and earphones and smiled at me. 'Morning Yerim.' He waved. BRO ACTUALLY SAID MY NAME FOR THE FIRST TIME. Why does my name sound so nice coming out of his mouth? I decided to stop getting so lost in my thoughts and greeted him back. 'Morning! When did you get here? I thought I'd get here earlier but guess not.' I asked. I wanted to make a good first impression on him however that didn't go according to plan. He answered as we walked side by side. 'Just a couple minutes before you got here.'

More interactions! Thinking about writing another ff but hasn't decided on the plot yet.... Any ideas? Hope you enjoyed this chapter, it was a little more difficult on what to write when they're not at school.
