As the moon hung high in the frigid night sky, casting its pale light upon the silent landscape, a small town in Korea was quiet, and no people were coming out. The place was so quiet that all you could hear was the dog barking. There are no lights in the houses, and the gates of the houses are closed. Not because they are asleep, but because they are afraid of being attacked by vampires who kill people and their families. But a family was walking with their luggage, and one of their sons, they were wondering why all the houses were closed even though it was seven at night.
"Mom, why is it quiet here?" a little boy asks his mother, who is holding his hand tightly.
"I don't know, son; I'm also confused too," his mother replied, then picked up her son.
The family kept walking while finding a new house for them, and since they were new to the area, they didn't know the tragedy that was about to happen to them.
While his mother was holding the child, they suddenly heard laughter around them, so they stopped, and the mother hugged her child tightly.
"Who are you?" the little boy's father asked while holding a wood.
"Well, well, who is this brave man who came out at night?" a sound of man says, followed by laughter.
"Mommy, I'm scared," the little boy whispered to his mother.
"Everything is going to be okay, son. Your father can handle this, okay?" his mother answered, trying her best to make the son not too scared, even though she was going to explode because of this situation.
"Mommy, will they eat us too, like how they eat my pet?" the little boy worriedly asked his mother, who only patted his back to make her child calm down.
"No, that can't happen again," his mother whispered as he hugged her and hid his face on her shoulder.
While his father was protecting his family, the family heard the sound of footsteps on the roof of the house and the laughter of a group of people near them.
" I smelled fear near to us, do you guys smell it too?" a voice of man says.
"yes I smelled it too" replied another man.
"I'm getting hungry now should we eat them now??" another voice said as they laughed again like crazy people.
"Honey, go hide now and protect our son; I'll take care of them!" the little boy heard his father say as he looked at his father, who kissed his forehead.
"No, I will not allow them to kill you!" his mother said.
"It's not time to be stubborn, honey!!" his father angrily said as they heard a loud laughter behind them.
"Go run now!" his father commands, immediately kissing her mother's forehead.
"Promise me you'll take care of our son even if I die here," his father said, while his father looked at them worriedly and gave a goodbye hug to them.
"Daddy, don't!" the little boy shouted as her mother ran away with him as he saw his father depending on his family.
His mother has no choice but to run way fast even though her heart is shattered after hearing does words coming from her husband.
while his mother running with him they're heard that vampires are following them.
they stopped first, his mother couldn't breathe because of her asthma, she decided to knock at the house door so that the vampire couldn't follow them.
" hello is there anyone here? Please help us, we are being chased by vampires!" he heard his mother shout but they received only none.
She puts his child beside her and accepts that it is the end of them but then her mother has an idea to go back to her husband.
"Son I'm going back to you're father ok just stay here if there are vampires near you, go hide. if mother not coming back just always remember that mother here at your side" his mother said and hugged her child while there were tears in his eyes.
"you're going back Mommy?" he asked his mother while pouting as she replied giggling then patted her child back.
As his mother runs back to save his father the child can't help to scared because he's lonely and it's too dark so he decides to follow his mother while walking back he hears a scream from a woman who belongs to his mother.
"mommy?? why are you screaming?" he asked while looking in the direction where he heard the scream.
then he felt someone following him so he turned back.
"Who are you??" he asked tremblingly.
"I told you not to come back here" a voice coming from his father.
"Daddy! you're alive!" he happily said while clapping his hands as he wiped his tears as he saw his father walking towards him with blood on his mouth.
"Daddy, why is there blood on your lips?" he asked as he pointed the blood at his father's lips.
"It's just a ketchup son," his father said while wiping his lips.
when his father approached him, the child looked into his eyes, it was red and his father's face was very pale. and suddenly he remembered it was the sign of a vampire. so he suddenly flinched when his father grabbed his arm and bit his neck he screamed and collapsed to the ground beside his mother.
"you will become a vampire now yeonjun" he heard his father say as he lost consciousness.
