Chapter 20

The moment he looked at the person who had just tapped on his shoulder, his first instinct was to punch the said person. So, that's exactly what he did. " Where were you ALL this time? Aren't you supposed to be my bestfriend? Jimin is in the hospital, you didn't even call me ONCE to notify me about Jimin's state. Yoongi was the one who had rushed to my house. You are such a bad friend Tae..." he sat down outside in the hospital bench meant for heartbroken loved ones, well wasn't that exactly what Jungkook was right now, was he?

Taehyung took some time for Jungkook to cool down. What was he supposed to say? The reason that Jimin was even in the hospital in the first place was because of him and he had no right to even show his face to anyone. But, he wasn't going to just sit down and coax Jungkook. He will tell him the truth about everything that had occurred that day, whether it breaks the friendship or not. " Jungkook, the reason why Jimin is in the hospital is partly due to my doing..." Taehyung paused to look at Jungkook's expressions, when he saw that Jungkook had his eyes wide trying to process what the fuck he had just said, he thought of continuing.

" In the morning, after I had been notified about the events of the last night only thing I could see was rage. Rage about how you were told about the entire situation, about the fact that it was Jimin and his carelessness. And finally it was really the rage for myself. I chose to not let you know. We all did. During those circumstances, it somehow felt right, but now looking back I'm sure all of us are regretting keeping you in the dark." Once, Taehyung was finished with his piece of mind, all he saw was a defeated Jungkook. Defeat because he once again unintentionally couldn't protect his love, his friends, his trust or even his sanity.

" Tae, everything in my mind is a chaos, there are questions in my mind that I have no answers to. There are so many ways to screw up whatever I have started or whatever I still have. Right now I was just shooed off by Jin. JIN. He has told me not to show my face until I am capable of all the answers to everyone's questions. What if I take too much time? What if everyone moves on in real time while I am busy with what had happened 4 years ago? What if Jimin moves on and realizes that I was never good for him?"

Only thing Taehyung could do after looking at Jungkook's state was hug him. So that's what he did. He was still feeling guilty about whatever he had done to Jimin. " Listen to me Kook. You are one of the strongest people I know. You have courage, determination and immense perseverance. These qualities you can use to find your answers. The rest, handling Jimin, looking after our friends and everything else, leave that to me. I am still feeling really guilty about the way I treated Jimin, so its the least I can do." 

Finally, Taehyung could see a huge burden lift off Jungkook's shoulder and they decided to sit like that for a few minutes.

After about 5 minutes, Jungkook abruptly got up, smiled at Taehyung and left the area.

After 2 weeks...

Taehyung kept his promise. Once he went back to Jimin's room, the first thing he did was to profusely beg with an apology. Although, Jimin was quite disappointed at the way Taehyung had chosen to act during a volatile situation, for old times sake, he chose to forgive the latter.

Taehyung left no stone unturned to show his apology. He was always there by Jimin's side. They started getting closer to each other, they started reminiscing about their life before the mystery and really basked in the nostalgia of how everything truly was.

Both Jimin and Taehyung met each other when they were in high school, back when both of them were 16. It was actually through Jungkook that both of them had met. After, Jimin got in a relationship with Jungkook, he had wanted to meet the people Jungkook calls his "chosen family".

So on one Friday night, Jungkook had taken him to Taehyung's place, where all the 5 of them had gathered. That night was the most amount of fun he had had with a group ever. Not only was he included in the group, but also he was never looked at as someone's boyfriend. They treated him as their friend first. This fact made him happy then and still does for some reason. But, then everything changed.

While, both Tae and Jimin were talking about "life before the chaos", as they called it, Jimin remembered that there was another person who was a really big part of the group and suddenly even that person was nowhere to be seen. According to Taehyung, after Jungkook's mystery condition, she chose to stay with Jungkook but when the group asked him about the person, the only thing he could recollect about them was that they were a friend. Nobody really chose to look further into it because, this person themselves chose to stop talking to the others and only look after Jungkook.

Jimin was a little surprised with all the abrupt endings 4 years ago. He doesn't know what has happened to actually break a group but he wishes to find out. For now, after he is done getting the treatment, he will go back to the hospital he works at, start focusing heavily on his job and figure out just exactly why the entire group has no idea about what has happened 4 years ago

Is someone lying? Is this something that was purposely done? If yes, then by whom? And if it was just a regular fallout then why doesn't anyone know the real reason why Jungkook has suddenly forgotten everything?

The first time Jimin opened his eyes, he was really expecting another set of brown beautiful eyes staring back at him, but when he woke up, he was just surrounded by flowers, his brother sitting right by the chair and Taehyung. Both of them got up when they saw movement from Jimin. Once all the inquiries about the injuries were done, everyone had arrived. Jin, then told him truthfully that Jungkook will not be allowed to see him till the time he gets answers to the questions he so desperately needs.

Although Jimin completely understood what Jin said, some part of him needed some time to be alone, only this time he wasn't alone. He had everyone. This was something he was extremely grateful for. This time whenever he woke up he atleast had one person looking after what he needs, his food requirements and his entertainment.

After recovery, whenever he was at home, sometimes Yoongi used to pop-up with his favourite video games, so he could play. Joon usually came with some drinks, non-alcoholic ofcourse and they usually just chatted about things in their life. Jimin really appreciated Namjoon's conversations, which is why they had grown extremely close to each other's as friends. Jimin probably was the only one who knew about Jin and Namjoon's decision to adopt another child.

Jimin was incredibly happy for them and decided to invite Jin along with Namjoon, everytime they hung out. Life was finally becoming stable for Jimin. He was becoming independent, he didn't need to know Jungkook's whereabouts all time and at work he had just been given an extremely huge promotion, which gave him all expense paid trip to one of the best villas in Busan.

Jimin immediately knew he was going to take everyone along with him. Because he wasn't ready to go to Busan alone. With all the memories that will flood in his mind constantly while being there. Atleast this way, he can divert his mind with his friends.

Everything was fine. For now.
