As he stood in front of the stove pretending to be casual but he was cautious, cautious about her gaze which was lingering on him from behind. His heart quickened it's pace as a wave of nervousness washed over him. He had clearly seen the anticipation and desire in her gaze but why didn't she kiss him then?

He thought.

Wait kya main chahata tha ke woh mujhe kiss kare?

Zaid thought, his breath hitched in his throat at the thought. His heart stopped beating for a moment before starting to race like a bullet train.

Kya woh mujhe kiss kerna nahin chahati thi?

The question roamed in his head.

But I wanted to be kissed

Zaid couldn't help but let out a silent groan at his own confusing thoughts.

He shook his head lightly and glanced at her from the corner of his eye as he stirred the milk.

She was a sight to behold, dressed up in her Micky mouse pajamas and shirt. He couldn't help but admire her in the simple yet Charming attire.

Her doe shaped almond orbs glistened under the soft light, casting a mesmerizing glow on her sharp features. Her hair fell in soft waves, framing her like a holo, only added to her ethereal beauty. He just wanted to burry his fingers in her beautiful hair that cascaded down her back like a waterfall of silk while he kissed her.

Zaid shook his head sideways at the thought.

Mubashira remained silent but the depth of her gaze saying more then words ever could, her eyes reflecting an emotion so intense that left him breathless. A flutter of anticipation bubbled in his stomach. The air between them was thick with unsaid words and undid actions.

As he walked towards her, balancing two mugs in his hands, their eyes locked, a silent conversation passing between them. Her fingers grazed his, an act simple but it sent a jolt of electricity through him.

She took the mug still looking at him.

He blinked his eyes at her. She let out a gentle smile and took a slow sip, her eyes snapped shut and her features relaxed. She opened her eyes and their eyes locked.

Zaid arched an eyebrow at her, seeking her feedback, a small smile playing on the corner of his lips.

Bahot achi hai.

Mubashira said, her voice a soft whisper causing his heart to race in his chest.

She then smiled, holding the cup in one hand, she forwarded her other hand, fingers outstretched in a silent invitation. He looked at her then, his heart skipping a beat before his slowly locked his fingers with her and a contented expression crossed her features as his fingers wrapped around hers, squeezing her hand gently.

As their fingers remained locked, their eyes met and he gave her a soft smile. The look in her eyes was a mixture of tenderness and vulnerability that made his heart flutter.

Aao.

He said softly and they walked towards their room.

As they sat in the balcony of their room, Zaid,s one hand remained locked with hers, Mubashira,s hand was warm and comforting that sent a delicate shiver down his spine.

Still sitting on the chair under the moonlit sky, Zaid slightly turned to look at Mubashira and their eyes locked, the world around them faded into insignificance leaving only the two of them in their own bubble. Her hand felt warm then the coffee mug itself and Zaid placed it on the table. As she gave his hand a gentle squeeze, he felt a gentle shiver race down his spine. As he continued to look into her eyes, he found an ocean of a love so intense that it almost stole the breathe from his lungs.
