I kicked the can, long since emptied by other wanderers, and then looked around the abandoned supermarket. It was completely demolished. The walls were covered with fungus, most of the shelves were rotten and cracked and were no longer able to be carriednothing more than dust, and garbage was strewn in every corner. What's worse - everything was robbed. The only thing I managed to find were a few tea bags and a sachet of groats. It wasn't a successful hunt.

-Fuck it,- I grumbled

I knew I had nothing to look for there anymore. So I turned around and left the dilapidated shack, putting my hood over my head. In a city that was abandoned years ago, I didn't expect to meet any transients, let alone residents, but I always preferred to be safe. Lately, WICKED planes have been flying over my head more and more often, and I couldn't afford to be detectedThe city has not been inhabited for a long time. Since the sun decided to explode in the Earth's face and the virus started getting into people's heads and driving them crazy, no one went there anymore. In the past, skyscrapers soaring to the sky, then poor structures, threatening to collapse at any moment. The streets are empty. Windows broken. Brick on brick. A city without a soul.

-about..

I stopped suddenly. The roar of an engine hit my ears and a huge shadow began to move down the street towards me. I looked up at the sky for just a moment. That was enough for the plane to get closer. I had little time. And my heart in my throat.

I hid under the car hood sticking out of the ground, which was my first and only thought. I curled up into a ball, pressing my back tightly to my chest and my back to the metal. The blood was rushing in my ears. I squeezed my eyes shut and waited

A few moments later it was all over. The shadow disappeared and all I could hear was my own heartbeat. I emerged from my hiding place and took a deep breath, feeling the weight lift off my shoulders. It's all water over the dam. I continued on my way, quickening my pace and trying not to let my thoughts wander in the clouds

It was only when I got to the apartment that I completely relaxed, I opened the door tightly and then turned on the light, I took my backpack off my back and threw it on the table, not intending to unpack it, I immediately finished its small contents, I wanted to get nervous again.

Silence Disturbed by the noise of the radio I was once taken away by a WCKED soldier who was on patrol alone thanks to which he had contact with the base then distorted voices tried to get out of the box but I couldn't understand anything, I got closer and started turning the knob in different directions left right left up and down

-Damn trash!

I was irritated and punched the box and it immediately picked up the signal, I looked at my fist appreciatively and in my head there was only five

-...C16 to the Base, C16 to the Base... They are not in the marina. I repeat, they are not in the marina... We are flying west... I repeat

-What are you planning,- I muttered under my breath

Finally it dawned on me to write it all down, I grabbed the nearest pencil and the first piece of paper I found, I quickly grabbed the moment the redheads threw out their words.-Danny!-I screamed without taking my eyes off the page-Danny, You need to hear this!I sighed and when I didn't get an answer again, I put the pencil between my teeth the radio is under my arm and I clutch the pages in my hands as I walk to the other room, there in the spacious bed. Instead of books, there are books in the middle-aged man's feet, pale skin blends into the background of the white pillow, greasy and unruly blond hair partially covered my sweaty forehead and he himself blends into the ceiling and they hug me. only when I put the juice on the nightstand-
