Stepping into my luxurious mansion, the soft glow of chandeliers and the warm scent of fresh flowers instantly embraced me. I made my way to my bedroom, my heels sinking into the plush carpet. This room was my sanctuary, a reflection of who I was—sleek, sophisticated, powerful. The walls were a deep, rich gray, the furniture black and silver with subtle red accents. My bed, an imposing piece with a black velvet headboard, dominated the space.

I slipped into my en suite to freshen up, changing into a comfortable silk robe and washing away the day’s tension. But when I returned, I froze, surprised—and admittedly impressed—by the sight of Vihaan sitting on my bed. He looked like a king on his throne, his piercing gaze locked onto mine, a hint of a triumphant smirk playing on his lips. He’d managed to track me down, despite the clever distractions Ved and Veer had set up to throw him off.

But I wasn’t about to let him see that hint of admiration. Keeping my expression composed, I stepped toward him. "What are you doing here, Mr. Chandra Shekhar?" My voice was calm, cool as ice.

Vihaan leaned back on his elbows, his eyes never leaving mine. "I could ask you the same thing, Mayra. Did you really think you could hide from me?"

I crossed my arms, my tone sharpening. "Mr. Chandra Shekhar, I didn’t invite you into my home." Each word dripped with disdain, but he only seemed more determined, his jaw tightening as if he sensed the challenge.

His face darkened, and a menacing edge crept into his voice. " Mayra. You might think you can keep hiding, but you know I  will find you . Just listen please. "

"Then don't even try," I shot back, my voice firm, unyielding. "I'm not interested in whatever it is you have to say."

I watched his expression shift, frustration flashing across his face as he rose to stand, closing the distance between us. "Mayra, listen to me—" he started, his voice softening, almost pleading.

But I cut him off, my anger seething through. "No, you listen. I don’t want to hear excuses or justifications. You’re not welcome here, and I will do everything in my power to make sure you stay away."

Vihaan’s face tightened, but I stood my ground, feeling the fire in my gaze dare him to push further. He tried to take another step closer, his desperation mixing with a need for me to understand. But I had hardened myself against him, refusing to yield.

Then, the tension broke as my phone rang, its sharp tone cutting through the air. I glanced down, seeing Veer’s name on the screen. A small smile crept onto my face, and I answered, my voice sweet and calm, completely contrasting with the icy demeanor I’d held with Vihaan.

"Hello, Veer," I said warmly, the connection to Veer obvious in my tone.

As I listened to Veer’s concerned voice, I sent Vihaan a reassuring smile, one that only seemed to deepen his anger. He couldn't hear Veer’s words, but he could sense the bond, the unspoken trust between us, and it only fueled his frustration.
