Another Way Out

He grabs my hand and we run as fast as we can out in the hall. Someone screams shrilly behind us but we just keep running as fast as we could.

"Ya-Yato...! Can y-you not teleport...?" I ask breathless already. He scoffs and looks ahead, eyes analyzing a route.

"If I could, we'd be out of here." He pants then pulls me around a sharp turn. I hear everyone around us screaming as loud as they could and bang on the doors. I see a few but I focus on the path ahead. Yato abruptly stops and looks around frantically. "Shit!" He curses loudly then tries teleporting us away but does to no avail. We go another way in hopes to find another exit that wasn't blocked. I feel someone grab me and yank me away from him.

"Yato!" I scream as they drag me away quickly. Yato spins around and stares at me in horror.

"(Y/N)!!!" He runs after us but can't seem to match my captor's pace and falls behind. I squirm ravenously in their grip before I hear a 'snap' and my whole body goes limp. Everything goes black as unconsciousness sweeps over me like a tsunami.
