I wanted to do a little foreword and disclaimer here that will be important to read before you continue further!
I will keep it short so please don't skip it!
First of all, let's start with the DISCLAIMER:
There will be OC's added in this story that are not mine. These are the MC's of my friends that they write about in their amazing stories and they will have mentions/cameo's/are a side character in "The Potion of Life".
Aurélie Collins is the lovely creation of my friend morelikeravenbore!
Allegra Chant is the lovely creation of my friend lyworth!
Gibby and Prim are the lovely creations of my friend galaxiasgreen!
Rosalie Bennett is the lovely creation of my friend and one of my biggest supporters mianeryh!

Furthermore, I'd like to note that all other characters besides Tessa, her family, the villain and Professor Ambrosius are owned by Hogwarts Legacy and its creators.
THE CHARACTERS ARE ALL AGED UP!
Important to note is that Tessa and her friends + classmates are all 18/19 years old.
On to the FOREWORD:
CHANGES TO THE ORIGINAL PLOT LINE:
Tessa got her Hogwarts letter at age 11, just like the other kids, but due to her letter arriving too late and thus missng the start of the year, she went the next schoolyear. So she was 12 in her first year, going on 13.
She has Ancient Magic, which developed over summer between her fourth and fifth year.
There was never a Ranrok nor a Goblin rebellion, however there was Victor Rookwood and his Ashwinders going after the Repositories and Theopolis Harlow was running their side business of Horntail Hall.
Professor Fig and her discovered the Map Chamber and she went through all the trials during fifth year.
Professor Weasley never showed her the Room of Requirement and Tessa doesn't know Deek.
Her and Amit went on a midnight adventure and ran into some Ashwinders. While Amit did his best and fought well, he told her that it was enough adventure to last a lifetime for him.
Tessa and her friends plus the teachers managed to stand their ground when Rookwood and his army of Ashwinders attacked the school for the final Repository (which is now sealed away beneath the Map Chamber, so no one without Ancient Magic can ever get to it again) and Tessa defeated Rookwood much the same way as it happened in the game.
Professor Fig didn't die, but came close to it.
She did have all the other side quests, except Sebastian's. Anne tragically died of her curse in fifth year, so Sebastian never became obsessed with finding a cure nor was he too much into the Dark Arts. Solomon Sallow isn't an abuser, but actually cares for his nephew in this story.
Tessa did help dismantle Horntail Hall and free the dragon with Poppy, however Ominis and Sebastian helped Poppy return the egg.
I think that's pretty much it in terms of differences with the game. ENJOY! :D
