Practicing has been going well, and I can say I have improved a lot. Just like the second band rule says- Work as hard as you can, even if it means burning out. And that's what I've been doing. I spend my mornings reviewing the set list, going through song after song until my fingers bleed. During my free time, I bleach my ears by listening to emo tunes to get rid of the sickening pop music brain-rot. Not only that, I also spend my time getting to know Louis and Julia better, because so far they were my favourite members.
Speaking of Julia, she's forcing me to go out on a shopping spree with her today. Apparently my outfits are not "tour appropriate", or whatever that means. We also have an upcoming cocktail party hosted by Simon to celebrate the album release, and apparently a bunch of fancy celebrities are going to be there, which means that I have to wear a dress, and stilettos of all things. Torture, am I right? I hate dresses. They simply remind me of my try-hard little sister Jessie. On top of all this, she invites the boys, saying that we need some serious band bonding time. Julia goes and grabs the band credit card, and we make our way to Rodeo Drive. All of us. In the same car. Needless to say, I have a huge headache and wish I brought my chunky headphones with me, so I could get back to my Metallica.
As we pull into the parking lot, we all escape the cramped space of the car, and make our way into the mall.
"Okay boys, here's the deal." Julia starts. "Axel and I are going to start shopping just the two of us, and then we'll regroup later. Sounds good?" She says.
They all nod, and we go our separate ways.
Julia interlinks our arms, and we start walking through the vast halls of the mall. I notice my favourite store, Hot Topic, and start to drag Julia towards it, but she yanks me back and gives me a disapproving look.
"Nice try, girl. But like I said yesterday- we're switching up this style." She says, and I groan in response, but she simply brings me towards a different store.
We spent about an hour going from girly store to girly store, and I only manage to find a few articles of clothing that barely appeased me. Now we stand in a fancy boutique, surrounded by colourful dresses that make my eyes bleed. A store attendant approaches us, asking if we need any help and Julia enthusiastically accepts. The woman begins to bring us through racks of dresses, and she turns towards me to ask what colour I want. I go to say black, but Julia quickly cuts me off.
"She'd like pink." She says quickly, and the woman beams while I feel as though my insides rot. Pink was my biggest nightmare.
I give Julia my most piercing glare, but she simply smiles teasingly. She wasn't afraid of me like most people were, and I respected her for that, despite being pissed at her at this moment.
The woman pulls out several dresses for Julia and I, and we follow her to the change rooms. I stare at my selection of ugly pink dresses taking a deep breath in order to compose myself. I slowly start to remove my clothes, and pull on the first dress, which practically suffocates me. It's so tight, my bosoms are almost spilling out, and I swear a seam rips. I quickly remove it and catch my breath- That was definitely a no.
I then move on to the next one, which is long, but way too big on me. There's also ruffles on it which only makes me look like some strange looking bird.
I hear Julia calling out for me, and so I pull the curtain back. She stands in a short red dress that fits her like a glove- she looks stunning.
