BROOKLYN

As bad as I wanted to let my emotions get the best of me and break down, I tried my hardest to keep myself together. For the most part, I was doing a good job.

Being a weak bitch was never something I wanted to be, and crying over a nigga was something I vowed to never do again.

They weren't worth the tears. I tried to not even think about what I'd walked in on. I desperately wished I could forget the shit even happened.

I damn sure wasn't looking for it. I couldn't help but feel like I would've been better off not even knowing what he was doing.

What I didn't know wouldn't hurt me. But since I did know, the shit was about to take me out of the game.

It was harder than I thought it would be, especially considering the fact that my heart felt like it had been ripped out of my fuckin' chest.

Hell, Tru may as well have picked out my casket and made funeral arrangements because he'd killed the rest of the heart I had left.

Hearing that your nigga was creeping was one thing, but actually being there to catch him in the act was another.

Even though I knew what he did wasn't my fault, I couldn't help but beat myself up over it. It hit me differently because I never would have done him like that.

I wasn't a cheater. Once I was with a person, I was with them only. The STD rates were way too damn high to be sneaky linking, and from what I saw, he had the nerve to be fuckin' a bitch unprotected.

I cared too much about my health and hygiene to be sharing a nigga with another female. I wondered if it was something I could have done to prevent the shit from happening, but I quickly concluded that I wasn't the problem.

Niggas loved to have their cake and eat that shit too. I had just placed Tru on a pedestal and figured he wasn't capable of doing such things.

The fact that I held him in such high regard pissed me off even more. He had me so damn fooled, and I couldn't believe I'd fallen for any of his bullshit.

I could only imagine all the shit he did that I was oblivious to. I wouldn't have been surprised if he was never faithful to me at all, and I was just late catching on to the infidelities.

However, I refused to let a nigga's actions make me start to doubt myself when I knew I was nothing but the best woman to his ass.

I cooked and cleaned like I was that nigga's granny and fucked him like the porn stars he liked to watch on his phone.
