(Six month later)
It was a beautiful spring day, and the air was thick with the sweet scent of blossoms.
It was finally the day of Taehyung's discharge, and he was filled with anticipation. As he gathered his belongings and said his goodbyes to the other patients and staff, he realized that this was a new beginning.
After he was discharged, Taehyung was excited to visit his grandmother, whom he hadn't seen in seven years. He could hardly contain his excitement as he hopped into the car with Jungkook , and they made their way to Daegu.
As Jungkook entered the backyard, Taehyung ran towards the woman picking strawberries from the field. "Halmony!!" he cried out, embracing her tightly.
She couldn't believe her eyes. It had been seven years since she last saw her grandson, and he had grown up so much in that time.
She held him close, tears streaming down her face. "I missed you so much, my little one," she said, her voice choked with emotion.
As Taehyung and his grandmother chatted and caught up, her eyes kept wandering towards Jungkook, who stood by the door, smiling warmly at them.
with a warm smile she said, "You must be Taehyung's boyfriend."
Taehyung's face turned bright red with embarrassment "He's...uh, he's..." he stammered.
His grandmother cut him off. "No need to be shy around me, dear," she said with a sly smile. "I'm not a judgmental old fashioned grandma. I know how things are these days. So, is it serious between the two of you?"
Taehyung flushed, realizing that he had no choice but to be honest. "We're...just friends,"
Jungkook laughed and said, "I'm Taehyung's friend...with a bit of a twist."
His grandmother laughed at them, then she brought them some homemade food. Taehyung finished his food first and went to wash his hands.
"I hope my Taehyung will be happy with you for the rest of his life," Taehyung's grandmother said to Jungkook, her eyes twinkling.
"I promise, halmony. I will always do everything I can to make Taehyung happy, and to take care of him," he said, his eyes sparkling with sincerity.
Taehyung returned to the table after washing his hands and found that the mood between Jungkook and his grandmother had lightened considerably. They were giggling together, and when he asked what they were talking about, they only seemed to laugh harder.
Jungkook grinned at him. "Just telling your grandmother how great you are, that's all," he replied.
''So you've been making fun of me, have you?'' Taehyung frowned & said.
