"Wake up! Come on, Anne. Wake up!" Sammy groans jumping on the bed.
Sunlight peeks in through my white flower printed curtains. The yellowness of the sun is slowly crawling its way through my room, covering each and every corner. My eyes are blinded from the sheer radiance of the light. I drape my arm over my sensitive eyes and let a groan escape past my lips.
I was on my side, facing my alarm clock, which said seven o'clock. "It's a bit early for a Saturday, Sam," my words low, heavy with sleep.
"No, it's not besides were going out." She said landing on the floor with a thud.
"Where are we going?" I asked rubbing away the sleep.
"On an adventure," she replied earnestly.

Fifteen minutes later we were pulling into a park. It was one of the larger parks in town and if I do say so myself the most breathtaking of them all. It had two playgrounds, a large pond, tennis courts, and dozens of trails.
"What are we doing here?" I ask climbing out of the passenger seat.
Sammy gave me a sideways glance and walked off, leaving me to follow behind her. She was dressed in pants and her favorite 'Bite me' shirt.
"Sammy! Why are you walking so fast?" I yelled at her back, pumping my legs shortening the distance the between us.
Grabbing my camera I hurried even more matching her pace with my own. We finally came to a stop near the outskirts of the park and the air left my lungs. Trees lined up around us encircling us inside. Taking off my shoes, I rushed barefoot along the crooked line of colorful pebbles, dodging roses and daffodils; my feet sink into the lush grass. There's a breathtaking gazebo in the middle of a bluish-green pond. The gazebo is pure white with little swirl designs and a wooden bridge connecting to it.
"How did you find this place?" I ask Sammy awe evident in my tone.
"I come here to think." It was a male voice, deep. I instantly recognized it.
My heart started to pound and my eyes went wide. It was him. Quincy. For the second time that day the air left my lungs as I stared at him. A boy I have always admired from afar, a boy I've never spoken a word to, a boy I've always been secretly in love with. I walked towards him but being my luck I tripped over a stick and started to fall. Stretching out my arms, I braced myself for the fall but it never came.
I realized someone held me. His chest felt taut. Slowly, I peered through my lashes, dazzling hazel eyes stared at me. His lips turned up in a half smirk.
"You should be more careful. We don't want you hurting yourself, now do we?" He smiled wickedly.
He steadied me with a gentle touch to my upper arm. A scorch mark burned into my flesh even after he removed his hands. Quincy half laughed as he plunged his hands back into his pockets and stepped to my side. I could feel my heartbeat quickening and my stomach tightening into knots. My face quickly heated, and I knew I was probably bright red. I backed a few steps away from him trying to get my emotions under control.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I should be the one asking you that," He said stepping closer. I backed away.
"This is a public place. You don't own it." I said pushing my glasses up my nose.
"True. So, what do you think of it?" Quincy asked with a swift of his hand.
