It was the middle of autumn, golden-yellow leaves danced with the wind, swaying in the air. Puddles of wild rain decorated every other, gray, cobblestone street of Istanbul.

A tired Abidin had just entered the residence, holding two stuffed shopping bags in his hands -apparently - there was a family event coming up. While walking to the kitchen, he noticed two children running towards him, they looked to be about 5 years old, boy and girl - twins. At the sight of his siblings, the nervous man raised both shopping bags and the children, standing next to him, hugged one of Abi's legs.

"Uncle Abidin! Have you been shopping? What did you buy, please tell me!" - a small, fair-haired girl called out. "Tell me first, uncle!" - a boy standing next to him added a moment later.

Then Asuman ran into the corridor, grabbed the two twins by their little hands and then looked at Abidin, "Sorry Abidin, these little tots have been full of energy lately and the babysitter is sick." - she replied, pulling the kids towards her. The man just nodded with a smile and then lowered the nets to their normal level.

"They're just kids, nothing happened." - he said. "They'll grow out of it sooner or later." - he added briefly.

After a moment, the fair-haired girl grabbed the two children in her hands and lifted them, "Guests are arriving tonight and you haven't bathed yet, I'll put you down now and call the races." - she said, setting the two down on the floor, "Whoever touches the bathtub first, bathes first and has a double portion of dessert after dinner." - she replied. The siblings looked at each other whimsically, and before the woman could say anything, they had already started running.

"Just be careful! The floor in the corridors was just washed!" - she shouted, putting his hands on his hips, after a while she looked at the mustachioed man with a smile and laughed, "I don't know how Ferit behaved at their age, but I think they were quite the father." - she announced.

"Yes, that's true. Back to work, enjoy bathing these rascals." - he replied and moved towards the kitchen. Asuman just nodded and then followed the trail of the two children.

Abidin entered the kitchen, immediately marched with the nets in his hands to the counter and placed them on it. He wiped his forehead, "Şefika, why was I asked to do so much shopping? There's probably a month's supply of tomatoes in one bag!" - he asked, leaning on the side of the counter. The slightly fatter woman started walking towards the shopping, wiping her hands on a towel, she looked at the man out of the corner of her eye, "So you don't know anything?" - she asked him, then started taking out groceries from the plastic bags.

The uncomprehending man just scratched his bald head and then crossed his arms, "Well..no, I don't know anything because I had barely left the annex when Mrs. Ifakat gave me a shopping list quite rich in products." - he replied, looking at the floor. Şefika she just laughed, hiding one - already empty - from the shelves to the drawer, she turned towards him, "Miss Suna and Master Kaya are coming to Istanbul today." - she said, "They are supposed to be here at 8 p.m., that's why there is chaos at home, everyone is afraid that we won't make it." - she added briefly. The woman was still talking to Abi, but he did not listen, his hearing was still on the word ,,Mrs. Suna returns".

He couldn't believe his former love suddenly decided to come back after a year abroad? The man felt a strange feeling, already familiar to him, and before the cook realized it, he was no longer in the kitchen. A subdued Abidin hurriedly walked towards the exit door, not noticing that a young girl was walking in front of him. He bumped into her. The plate of baklava the girl, was holding fell to the ground with her, the dough spread across the decorated, golden floor, leaving only greasy stains. "Oh..for God's sake, Ayşen, please forgive me." - he replied, offering her his hand. The dark-haired girl looked up, she smiled when she saw the boy, realizing what had just happened, at last - hello - a cake specially ordered by Ifakat herself collapsed on the ground. Eventually, Abidin helped her up from the floor.
