Accidents happen
But tragedies shouldn't
As I watched you sink
That's all I could think
The fear of you falling
Into the deep
It consumed me
And I became numb
Lost in the pain
Of watching you drown
It all fell apart
In a single sun down
Leaving me alone
On the cold hard ground
A whimper slipped past
My cold lips
Corrupting the world
That let it happen
I'll never forgive
This darkness in me
What let me ignore you
And watch you break slowly
I fear for the day
Where it all crashes down
And you seek revenge
On the one that let you drown
Accidents happen
That I understand
But now
It's gotten out of hand
And really I swear
That this wasn't intentional
Accidents happen
But tragedies shouldn't
And I let you go
Left you to die
