OMNISCIENT
[North Texas State Hospital, Vernon]

As the eyes locked Killala was having an inner battle with her & her voices since she didn't take her medicine today either. The touch sent sensations throughout her body she never felt , but she hated the way his touch had an effect on her and she didn't even know him.

Killala stood frozen in disbelief as Da'carius's hand closed around her arm, his touch sending a jolt of electricity coursing through her veins. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as she struggled to process the sensation that raced up her spine, leaving her breathless and disoriented.

"Whats wrong ma?" He asked even though he knew what he was doing.

His voice broke through the haze of her thoughts, pulling her back to reality. She met his gaze, her heart pounding in her chest as she searched for words to explain the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside her.

"Nothing , let my fucking arm go" she mugged him.

But even as she spoke, she knew it was a lie. The truth was far more complicated than she cared to admit. Da'carius's touch had awakened something within her, a longing she had long buried beneath layers of resentment and hostility.

As Da'carius released her arm, Killala took a step back, putting some much-needed distance between them. She could feel his eyes on her, questioning and searching for answers she wasn't ready to give.

"G-get df away from me"

Without waiting for a response, she turned on her heel and fled from the room, the echo of her footsteps reverberating in the empty corridor. Alone with her thoughts, she struggled to make sense of the conflicting emotions that raged within her.

The sensation of Da'carius's touch lingered like a ghost, haunting her every thought and igniting a firestorm of uncertainty. She knew she should stay away from him, to protect herself from the tumultuous feelings he stirred within her.

But try as she might, she couldn't shake the memory of his touch, nor the undeniable pull she felt towards him. It was as if some invisible force had bound them together, intertwining their fates in ways she couldn't begin to comprehend.

Lost in her thoughts, Killala leaned against the cool stone wall, her heart heavy with indecision. She knew she couldn't keep running from her feelings forever, but she also feared what might happen if she allowed herself to succumb to the magnetic pull of Da'carius's presence.

As the minutes ticked by, Killala knew that she would have to confront her feelings head-on, to unravel the tangled mess of emotions that threatened to consume her. But for now, all she could do was take a deep breath and steel herself for the storm that lay ahead.

Da'Carius didn't know why he wanted to touch Killala but he did. He had the urge to.

'I don't even know when im doin good'

He was in a vulnerable state at the moment after having one of his episodes. He didn't know why he got so triggered and never really had the help to get an understanding of how his mind work, but Da'carius being him he never let anybody in.

'You go, you leave if you want to'

he follows after letting her go when she gave him a glare to let her go. He never says a word just observing her as she was so interested into the books that the asylum had.

'Misguide me usin' your body (Ooh)'

He adores the fact that she even was in the library. He never knew any female that wanted to read but neither have he been around that many females since he been here so long.

'You know I'm loving you ( what you feelin like ?)'
'what to do'

Da'carius, intrigued by Killala's unique qualities, decides to take a bold step forward. As he approaches her, he flashes a charming smile, hoping to catch her attention. "Wassam shorty" he says.

'I wan' see you, im like, "I wanna see you too"'

Killala observes Da'carius with a mixture of fascination and empathy, recognizing his unique qualities and the challenges he faces due to his mental illness. She notices the intensity in his eyes, sometimes clouded by inner turmoil.

But even thought she can recognize it , she still didn't like his presence since there first interaction. "What the fuck you want ?" Killala said as she still looking for books while two books were sitting in her arm.

She didn't understand why they kept seeing each other.

"You like books huh ?"

"Yea no shit nigga." She laughed in the inside because she knew he was just trying to make conversation.

"You ain't gotta catch an attitude." He was frustrated because he physically wanted to be around her but he didn't understand that when they only spoke lil words from each other, and plus the fact everytime he tried talking to her she caught a attitude.

'My mind feel chained , heart up in flames'

"I don't , I just don't like ya presence."

Da'carius, grappling with his own inner turmoil and frustrations, lashes out at Killala.

"Bitch I wasn't trynna be in ya presence". His eyes darkening turning his dark brown eyes into black.
Killala watches him storm out of the library, his footsteps echoing down the corridor of the asylum.

"I don't get why the fuck he wanna talk to me so bad fa" she me mumbled to herself as she got packed her books and headed back to her room.

Two souls, struggling with scars and bruised by life's relentless chaos, find themselves adrift in a world that feels cold and indifferent. Each carries the weight of their own pain, scars etched deep into the fabric of their beings, a silent testament to the trials they've endured.

They move through life with guarded hearts, believing that vulnerability only invites further hurt, and that care and kindness are foreign concepts reserved for others, not for souls as broken as theirs.

Their eyes, once bright with hope, now hold shadows of sorrow, mirroring the pain that resides within.

They walk the earth like ghosts, unseen and unheard, their voices lost in the cacophony of life's chaos.

Many people crave connection but sometimes feel hesitant to reach out due to the fear of rejection and abandonment.
