Goddess Sita, known as Maithili, Vaidehi, Janaki, Siya, Bhumija or Sita Maiyya, is portrayed as the ideal woman and wife. A woman known for her perfection and loyalty. A woman that holds omnipotent power and has purity of the divine fire.

A woman.

The reason lord Rama washed off the blood of Asura (evils) from the face of the earth in Treta Yuga. A reason world has seen the bright sun. A reason human kind is able to live with freedom.

When Goddess Sita and Lord Rama returned from Vanvas, people cherished and celebrated Lord Rama's victory and return. Lord Lakshman, Lord Ram's younger brother had been honored for his devotion towards his elder brother and Sita Ma finally gained her respect as the queen.

.

But,

Is the world as pure as fire?

Was the world as pure as fire in Treta yuga?

(Tretayuga: Era of evils and Gods living on the same place, earth.)

No.

Women have always gone through conflicts in order to prove their worth, in order to prove her value and in order to prove her innocence. There is no single Yuga(Era) where Women didn't have to go through fire to prove herself.

Sita Maiyya had been asked to give Agni-Pariksha (A task to prove her innocence by walking into the fire) in order to prove her innocence and loyalty toward her husband, lord Rama.

People doubted her innocence even though she is known to be the purest woman in history. She had to give the Agni-pariksha, convince the people around her and prove her innocence just to be accepted by them.

.

Why?

Why does a woman always have to go through fire to prove herself?

Why does she always count as second when she is as important as man?

Why is man known to be the creator while woman is called the care-taker?

.

Haven't all the greatest revolutions occured due to a woman?

Ramayana, is a revolution against all the evil done to a woman. Where the Rakshas(monsters) were annhilated from Earth.

It teaches the power of unconditional love and devotion. It was Lord Ram's unrelenting love for his wife Sita, that drove him to wage a fierce battle and defeat Ravana.

And it only possible because of Sita Maiyya.

Mahabharata, a revolution where new era of equality begin, happened because of Draupadi.

Mhaishasur vadh, where Kali Maa killed the Asur(monster) because her husband was hurt.

Who could be more sacrificial yet powerful at the same time other than women?

.

Women aren't the moon, reflecting someone's shine,

Women are the sun, creating their own light.
