Tyler ignored the group for a week straight now. It's going on to a second week already.
"What's up with him? He was a grump at the arcade, the pool, and now school??" Aiden says, rolling his eyes in annoyance. "Well, I mean--it's school, but still!" The blonde throws his arms up into the air in exasperation.
"Taylor," Ash tries speaking up. The long-haired brunette turns to look in her direction. "You must know why Tyler's acting like this, right? I mean....our group..." Everyone understands what Ash tried to say even if she can't get the right words out.
"I...." Taylor cuts herself off with a choke. Aiden turns to look in her direction. She looks like she's about to cry--nevermind.
"What's wrong, Taylor??" Ben types out on his phone and shows it to her. She looks up before taking a deep breath and speaking. "I don't know--"
"What do you mean, you don't know? You live with him--Has he always been this bitc--" The blonde boy asks, getting a bit upset.
"Aiden! Please calm down," the strawberry blonde pleads. "Maybe we're reading into this a--"
"No," Taylor cuts him off. "I've known him all of my life, Logan... I know when something's wrong with him."
"Then, what's wrong?" Aiden brings everyone back to the topic on hand. He wants answers. He also wants know about those scars too. He has some on his body too, but.... Is someone hurting him? Tyler? Are they hurting Taylor too? Maybe this has to do with what happened in the mirror dimension?
A couple of nights ago, the group was going on a supply run when things didn't go well.
"Why have you been avoiding us?" Ash asks, standing next to the jeep.
"I'm not," Tyler fires back sounding more irritated then usual.
"You are!" Taylor shouts at him. He just stares at her.
"Tay," the shorter haired brunette lets out a sigh. "Look, I don't always have to hang out with you guys. I have other friends too and a life away from this bullshit dimension, okay?" Tyler sneers at the ginger haired girl. The blonde boy feels anger bubbling up inside of him at this. He needs to go protect Ash--she can protect herself though. She doesn't need him, but still. Aiden doesn't like the way Tyler's getting so close to her, so he gets in between them, glaring Tyler down.
"Look," Ash starts, but gently pushes Aiden away so she can talk with Tyler face to face. "Whatever. I know you have another life outside of this. We all do. But in here, we have to stay a team because--" Ash doesn't get to finish what she was about to say because she's interrupted.
"We're fighting fucked up phantom things?" Tyler asks with a head tilt. "Yeah, I got it," he snaps, stepping passed her and climbing into the back of the jeep. The gingered haired girl just shakes her head before walking over to the drivers seat of the jeep. Everyone gets in and she begins driving off to their destination.
When they get there, Ash splits them up in half. She wants to keep an eye on Tyler, so she takes him with her and Aiden. They head into the general store and gather up some supplies. Aiden has been glaring at Tyler the entire time they've been in the store. He's pissed beyond belief right now. How can he just be so rude to Ash and all of them? How?? What've they done to get this reaction? Aiden wishes that his parents would just tell them that they're going to be moving again just so he doesn't have to see that stupid--idiotic--pretty face again. When Aiden furrows his brow in confusion, he doesn't get a chance to dwell on those thoughts because there's something large and creepy behind Ash. "Ash!" Aiden calls out as he runs over to her. Tyler looks up and doesn't have time to react. Aiden pushes the phantom off of Ash's body and shields her with his own body.
