School Bus Graveyard (Tyler X Adien)

Ch. 6

When Aiden first saw the yellow bus coming down the street, he sighed. "Well, here we go!" the blonde-haired boy says, holding his backpack straps as the bus stops at them. He and his cousin, Ben, get onto the bus and sit on the right towards the middle-back of the bus. Ben sits on the window side while Aiden sits on the aisle side. The bus stops at different locations and picks up a variety of children. When they get to this one-stop, this girl with long ginger braids and headphones gets on. She catches Aiden's attention immediately. She's just so different from the other kids on the bus. When she sits down in front of them, Aiden's eyes narrow in on the back of her ginger head.

They talk until the girl seems to just shut him out. 'She's not one for conversation, huh?' he thinks, as he sighs. He sits back and waits for the bus to get to school. What kind of a day will this be today? He can only wonder.

At school, he decides to follow the interesting girl with the braids just because he doesn't know anyone else here. Well, he doesn't know her, but at least she talked with him on the bus for a brief time. He loses her in the crowd of people in the school halls but finds her again in a class they share. He's content again.

They're going on this Savannah trip, and Aiden can't help but feel eyes on him sometimes. When he looks around, he doesn't see anyone there. It's only when they're taking a tour of this weed house that he feels those same eyes on him again. It's the taller guy in the back. He's wearing a matching shirt with that girl. 'Oh, right! They're twins. That's kinda cute. I bet that Tyler guy hates it, lol.' Aiden thinks. 'But why is he staring at me for? Is it because I'm new? Gonna find out someway.'

It's not until that night when he feels eyes on him yet again. They heard a scream in the middle of the night and went to follow it. It led them to the girls' room. The door was unlocked, so they all just went in. Aiden sees the girl with the cool braids, Ashyln, fighting this fleshy black skeleton thing under the bed. His heart drops, and a pit of fear forms in his stomach. This brings up a memory. Flashback! Honestly, worst rime to have one right now. Boo!

Aiden is with his uncle, David. He took him to a haunted house at the age of six years old. Waiting in the line made him even more nervous then the car ride there. He wanted to turn back, but his uncle insisted that it was going to be really fun. So, he ended up giving in and letting the man take him to this scary place. When they got inside, it was really dark and cramped. Aiden held his uncle's hand tightly in fear. There were loud sounds, things moved, and scare actors jumped out at them, making little Aiden fear for his life. It was all a little too much for him. The last straw was when this scary clown girl followed them from one point until the exit. When Aiden turned around and saw her grotesque makeup and fake eyeball hanging from her face, he screamed before starting to cry right there on the spot. He was trembling really badly and had wet himself in fear.

His uncle had to carry him out to the exit. The clown girl was apologizing profusely as she followed them to the exit. She really wasn't trying to scare little Aiden. She was coming up to tell them that if they wanted to leave, there was an exit she could lead them to. The scare actors knew that a little kid and a man were coming through, so they tried to make their jobs less scary for him, but Aiden was too far gone by that point. His uncle wasn't listening to anything that clown girl had to say. He was just cussing at the girl for what-doing her job? Making sure the little boy, Aiden, was comfortable in the haunted house by contacting the other scare actors and telling them not to be so scary? They were warned at the beginning of the house that this wasn't something you should take your young children into. Aiden wishes that he never went with his uncle in the first place to that scary building. That was only just the beginning of the hell that was waiting for him.
