~Enchanted Forest~

"We should reach the lanterns by tomorrow midday, for now, let's get dinner shall we?" Hook said as they walked. They finally reached a tavern named the Snuggly Duckling. Upon entering, Rapunzel noticed that the length of her hair was getting some looks but not many and she also noticed that the more she looked around, how odd and different each person was.

The two sat down and ordered some food, in which Rapunzel decided to make some small talk. "So why does the evil queen want me?" she asked curious. Hook shrugged and took a swig from his cup. "No idea, love, she didn't tell me, but she did promise I can get revenge on the crocodile," Hook said. Rapunzel narrowed her eyes at him, "I know you're lying, is it because of my hair?" she asks and Hook looks at her puzzled. "I don't think the evil queen is interested in making blonde wigs, love," Hook remarked.

"Well look who it is, it's Captain Hook, or just Hook I guess, can't be a captain if you have no ship," a man who looked like a pirate laughed as did his crew. "Aye, but I don't need a ship right now, I'm currently busy so why don't you leave, Blackbeard," Hook said standing up. Blackbeard's eye twitched. "Don't you want another chance to win your ship back? Would love to see you lose again," Blackbeard taunted. Hook looked at him with hatred. "Aye, let's do a one on one duel then, I win, I get The Jolly Rodger back, if you win, well, you get to keep her," Blackbeard shook his head, "I need something else in it for me,"

Hook scoffed, "Scared to let your crew watch you lose to a man with one hand? Come on Blackbeard, let's duel," Blackbeard gave in and before they knew it, they were running around duelling each other. Hook was clearly losing and Rapunzel could see that, until she decided to take matters into her own hands, she grabbed a log from near the fireplace and whacked it over Blackbeards head, knocking him out when he had Hook pinned to the ground.

"I could have handled that myself, love, I was about to win," Hook said getting up. "You were losing, badly, and I need you alive so come on, let's leave before this sorry excuse for a man wakes up," and the pair left the tavern.

-

They were deep into the woods when they decided to set up camp for the night. Hook made a small campfire and the two sat beside it. Hook moved slightly and winced causing Rapunzel to look over and see his arm had been cut. "You're hurt, you should have said something," Rapunzel said rushing to it and started to grab her hair to wrap it around. Hook stopped her by holding her wrist. "What are you doing blondie?" he asked raising an eyebrow. "Just trust me, okay?" Rapunzel asked and the pirate nodded allowing Rapunzel to wrap her hair around his arm. She then closed her eyes started to sing,

"Flower gleam and glow,

let your powers shine,

make the clock reverse,

bring back what once was mine,

heal what has been hurt,

change the fates design,

save what has been lost,

bring back what once was mine,

what once was mine,"

As she sang her hair glowed and healed Hook's cut on his arm. She unwrapped her hair and he saw it was healed. He got up in shock and touched his arm where there was a cut moments ago. He looked at her, "Don't freak out, please, I know magic can be bad but this is the purest form of magic I swear," she said. "I've known magic before, but only the dark kind," he trailed off, he stared at her and she looked so harmless. He knew this woman wouldn't bring him harm ever, she was right, it was pure magic. "But I also know there is pure magic, so don't worry blondie, secret is safe with me," he said. She smiled at him as a thank you.

"Killian Jones is my real name. It's only fair you know who I am if you're going to tell me about your magical hair." he confessed. Rapunzel nodded, "Killian. It suits you." she said. He tore his eyes away from hers and to the fire and coughed. "I'm going to go get more firewood, don't move from here," he said, standing up. "I'm not going to get like super strength now am I?" he joked, Rapunzel laughed and shook her head. "No Killian, you won't"

He smiled and walked away into the forest.

Rapunzel sighed and looked at him as he left.

"I thought he would never leave," Rapunzel heard a woman's voice behind her, she turned around and there stood was the Evil Queen. "You're the evil queen! Father told me about you," she said backing away. Regina laughed, "Don't worry dear, I'm not here to take you, not yet anyway, I know of your little dream and that the pirate is going to take you to see the lanterns but I must warn you, he doesn't care about you," Regina walked around.

Rapunzel frowned, "I think he does care about me, I think he might actually like me," Regina laughed, "Likes you? He's a pirate dear, he is only after his revenge. God, you really are naive,"

Rapunzel shook her head, "No, he is different, he can be a good person unlike you, you're always going to evil," Regina narrowed her eyes. "We shall see in a few days time when he has to hand you in, when he has to bottle up your magic and kill your father," and with that the evil queen disappeared into a cloud of purple smoke.

Rapunzel looked at the empty space where she stood, was Hook really going to kill her father? Maybe if she spoke to him once she was sure of his feelings for her, then he wouldn't want to kill him anymore.

"Blondie? Everything okay?" Hook said returning and dumping the wood on the floor. Rapunzel turned around with a smile, a fake one which Hook noticed. "Everything's great," she lied.

She believed Hook could be a good man and she knew there was a connection between the two of them. Perhaps it was true love, she hoped it to be true love.

~Storybrooke~

Rachel woke the day after the girls night with a headache. Groaning she turned over and saw a man next to her. She then looked around and realised she wasn't in her own bed, she was in a room at Granny's. Silently, she got her clothes and got dressed and left the room, making sure the guy didn't wake up. She decided to go down into Granny's diner and get coffee.

"Wow, good morning. Fun night?" Emma asked, noticing Rachel walk in. Rachel groaned, "I feel so so rough." and she sat down next to Emma at the counter. "Oh by the way, your father has no idea you went out last night. I had to arrest him." Emma said. Rachel looked up in shock, "What? What happened? What did he do?"

"Long story shot, the flower shop owner, Moe, broke into your home and stole a few things. I then found Gold had beaten him and Moe had to go to hospital. He is still at the station, I'm just about to go there."

Rachel sighed, "Dad has always hated Moe, always out to get him. Although I suppose it's good because I woke up next to a guy this morning and my dad does not need to know about that."

Emma raised her eyebrows, "A guy? Who?"

Rachel shrugged, "No idea. Think his name is Alex?" Emma laughed, "And? How was it?" Rachel sighed, "Awful. For some reason I felt guilty about it, as if I was cheating on someone but I have never really been with anyone."

Emma nodded, "So it wasn't Captain Hook?" she asked. Rachel looked at her blonde friend confused, "why would it be Captain Hook?"

"Henry's book? It's Captain Hook who rescues you from the tower and takes you to see the lanterns. Has Henry not told you?" Emma questioned and was met with a head shake from Rachel.

"Huh, so you're saying that Captain Hook is my love interest? Well this guy had two hands, so not him," Rachel pointed out. Emma shrugged, "Well I have to get going. I suggest you get home before your dad gets released." Rachel nodded.

She got a coffee to go and made her way home, thinking about what Emma had said to her. If Henry's theory was right, then wouldn't he be in this world somewhere? Wouldn't she know if she had met someone with one hand?
