Sola P.O.V
"Now does anyone else want to be sassy with me" he bellowed at the group. I shook my head as I watched Lunette begin running out of the corner of my eyes. Sure there were some comments I would like to make to him but no way in hell I'm going to be running laps like Lunette. After orientation, it was time for dinner and I stood outside waiting for Lunette to finish with her punishment. That girl and her attitude, I feel like this is going to happen often.
"Hey, what is your name?" someone asked beside me. I suddenly whipped around, startled out of my thoughts. Standing behind me was a guy, probably only a few inches taller than me. He had short brown hair and simple brown eyes.
"Oh, uhhh, I'm Sola" I said quietly, not really wanting to talk to this guy.
"Well aren't you shy?" he asked me. Ugh, can he please just leave me alone. I really don't want to talk to him
"My name is Timothy" he said, holding out his hand for me to shake. Slowly I stuck my hand out and quickly shook it.
"So who is that running?" he asked me.
"Lunette" I said looking back out watching her run
"Are you guy's sisters?" he asked me
"In a way" I said. Just then the bed bell rang "Good night" I said and walked off without waiting for him to reply. I went to the barracks and sat down on my bed waiting for Lunette. Within a couple minutes, the door opened and Lunette walked into the room.
"Moon, here" I said handing her a loaf of bread and some water. She flopped down beside me, face down onto the bed.
"I told you not to call me that Soul" she panted. She then sat up and took the water from me and gulped it down.
"Good night" she briskly replied, flopping back down onto her back
"Moon you need to eat" I said.
"No" she snapped back. Why does she have to me so stubborn?!
"Eat!" I yelled back, trying to shove the bread her in face,
"Make me!" she yelled back, swatting my hands away. Well, she asked for it.
"With pleasure" I told her. I jump onto her, straddling her chest, shoving the loaf into her mouth
"Eat it you little bitch" I said yelled. I shoved my hand across her mouth and nose, leaving her no choice but the swallow the bread. That is unless she didn't want to breathe.
"Good girl" I said, patting her head as I got off her. By the time I was off her bed, she was fast asleep. I smiled and covered her up then went to my own bed.
"Good afternoon maggots, today we will be putting your pathetic skills to use in hand to hand combat" the commander yelled "Choose your partners and begin!"
"Moon, come on" I said as I walked over the spot away from everyone else.
"Don't call me that" she said as she followed after me.
"Get over it. I have called you that for 4 years now" I said getting in my fighting stance. "And I will continue calling you it for many more years!"
"No, center your body on your feet" Lunette said as I move to center myself.
"What does it matter" I asked, confused at what good this would do.
"If I were to sweep kick you right now, you would fall. But when you put your center of gravity in the middle of yourself, you are less likely to hit the ground." She explained as she kicked at my boot.
"How do you know this" I asked her, curious as to how she knew this.
"It doesn't matter how I know this. Just listen to me and you will do well" she said. I nodded and we began sparing "You're a fast one aren't you? Got some good reflexes!" she said, smiling slightly at me.
"Oh Lunette! It looks like you aren't even trying" Timothy said walking up to us.
"Who the fuck are you and how the hell do you know my name" she asked stopping. Well isn't mister 'I'm going to talk you when you are clearly uncomfortable' from last night.
"Your friend here told me." He said as he pointed at me. Lunette slowly turned toward me
"Why?" she asked simply, she didn't look to happy.
"I don't know! It slipped! He asked and I just told him! You weren't there to stop me from fucking up!" I yelled, turning red and looking down.
"You didn't fuck up" she said covering her face, shaking her head "He did" she said pointing at Timothy
"I didn't fuck up! But I mean you sure are a fuck up. I mean look at you ratty ass red hair and you're a fucking gnome" he said getting in Lunette's face. You could see the anger contort on her face. He's an idiot, that's for sure. As they both argue, I happened to look down at Timothy's feet. Noticing he wasn't centered, I decide an easy way to stop this argument. Slowly walking up, I kicked his feet from out beneath him, causing him to fall onto his ass.
"What the hell? Who do you think...?" He trailed off, noticing Lunette and I were walking off already. The next couple of months we worked on our combat skills and Lunette taught me everything she knew.
