Lily woke up the next day. It was bright and early. She had the early shift at the Leaky Cauldron. She was trying not to be seen. As much as she wanted Harry in her arms she didn't want to die. She decided she would see Harry. If it took everything for her to do. But she had to make some money to survive. Harry would have all the money James and her had saved up. James had been a Quidditch player after Hogwarts. But he was home more when Lily told him she was pregnant. Lily wanted Harry to have everything he ever wanted. She thought he would be well taken care of with Petunia and Vernon. Dudley was raised well enough. She'd seen numerous pictures despite Petunias jealousy and spite. She got out of bed thinking of her son as she got dressed. She was just about to leave her Severus's room when she heard hushed voices. She had to listen in. She could barely make out the voice of Lucius Malfoy. There was a growl and she heard footsteps moving towards her room. She grabbed her wand ready to apparate or stun. She wouldn't kill unless she had too. The doorknob twisted and she lifted her wand. The door opened a crack and it was Severus. "Apparate to work now," he muttered warning her and than he closed the door. "It was just my owl. I got a letter. I have to go answer it. Leave now," she heard Snape and than she vanished in a green mess. She almost felt sick. "That was a close one," she muttered headed inside and up to the fourth floor where she started working.

~Snape's POV~
Lucius Malfoy had arrived whilst Severus was reading the Daily Prophet for more news on the boy who lived and his parents deaths. There was an article about someone thinking they'd spotted Lily in Diagon Alley. He had to get her out of there. He opened the door to see the stinking git that was the pompous Lucius Malfoy. "Ah Lucius. How's your boy?" he asked dull like. He didn't actually care. "He's well. He needs a godfather and it's you. That's not a request," Lucius ordered like Severus was his servant. Severus snarled. "Someone must look out for him at Hogwarts. As long as he's in Slytherin," Severus spoke. Lucius smirked that rich person smirk and moved into the house more. He didn't feel the need to be invited in which Severus hated. The conversation moved on to Death Eater business until they heard Lily moving around in Severus's room. Severus got up warning Lily to leave and made some bogus excuse about his owl delivering a letter. Luckily he had indeed received an owl just before the Daily Prophet arrived. He went to grab it after Lucius insisted he read it to see that it was from Mulciber. He looked at Lucius after he read the letter. "You can't be serious. Crouch was caught..." He faked knowing full well he would be condemned to Azkaban Prison.
