On an extremely rainy day in the month of June— A woman dashed out of the big mansion with tears on her face.
“HUWAG KANG BABALIK DITO!!”
“THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE!!”
“DON'T EVEN THINK OF COMING BACK HERE VIOLA!!”
“MY SON WILL HAVE ANOTHER SUCCESSOR!! THAT KID IS A BASTARD!!”
Kahit nabasa na siya sa ulan ay patuloy pa rin na tumatakbo si Viola— hindi alam kung saan ito patungo. The rain is dropping heavily but Viola didn't mind it as long as she could get far away from that place. She remembered what those vile people did to her the first day she entered that mansion.
“First of all, you are just my son's wife in name. Secondly, you are just a tool. A woman who can bear my son's successor, although he can still find a mistress outside. And lastly, you are not allowed to have a communication of my son except when you're making out for my grandson. It should not exceed ten words. My rats had ears around this mansion, Viola. You should know this.” The woman who claimed herself to be the Mistress of Gu Clan. The mother of Viola's husband, Yale Zeref Gu.
Viola's heart is beating faster as she looks around the mansion of Gu Household. It's really big and spacious is just a word for it. But the people living in it are full of monsters.
“Also.. when my son will have a mistress outside and she'll get pregnant — the kid will live here under your name but I should be the one to raise it including the one that will be the next heir of this Gu Household that will be born in your belly.”
Viola nodded heavily as she feels like the world is really unfair to her. Her family, the husband that she just married, the family of the man she married— hates her.
Viola Fuentes is from a rich family, she's the second daughter of the famous Fuentes Household. She was arranged in marriage with the current head of Gu Household— Yale Zeref Gu. The day after their marriage vows, the man flew abroad with the excuse of having a business trip. There was no reception of their wedding as the groom fled away.
She just entered the mansion, wearing a simple white dress below the knees and her mother-in-law already said a lot of do’s and don'ts to her.
“Do you understand what I mean, Viola?”
“Y-Yes… Ma’am.” Viola thought that her mother-in-law is not easy to get along with so she decided to call her Ma'am as the woman doesn't like her very much for her son— which is now Viola's husband.
Her mother-in-law sneered, “I don't even know why my son married you in the first place even though Grace is his childhood sweetheart.”
Viola felt sad as she heard what her mother-in-law said. Her family's business is declining and her parents don't want to sold her elder sister to marriage to anyone with the excused of being weak and sickly so they sold Viola to the Gu Household in terms that Yale Zeref Gu would invests any projects of Fuentes Group and stop the bankruptcy.
“Tsk, tsk. Your family is really witty. It's disgraceful to even think about it. I hope that Fuentes Group will face a lot of problems so it will be bankrupt and my son will gonna divorce you for good and finally— he can marry Grace!” The woman scoffed.
Nahihiya si Viola sa mga sinasabi ng mother-in-law niya kaya yumuko nalang ito.
“That's right, Auntie. I don't really get it why Yale insisted on marrying her,” sabat noong babaeng si Grace.
That woman is sitting in the living room like she's the wife of the Gu Household and Viola is just a servant, newly hired.
“Don't mind them, Grace.”
Viola's mother-in-law smiled widely as she called the housekeeper of Gu Household.
“Lead this woman to her room.”
The housekeeper hurriedly led Viola to her room— the supposed to be utility room. The room is so small that her small bed is just like a bench.
“Woman, you better behave. Sir Yale is not around here and no one's gonna protect you even if he is around. I suggest you should just stay in your comfort zone and don't mess with our Master's and Madam's in this household or you won't have a meal.” The housekeeper firmly said as he stared at Viola with impatience in his eyes and turned around to walk away.
Napabalik si Viola sa reyalidad nang naramdaman niya’ng sumakit ang kanyang tiyan as she held her stomach kaya huminto ito sa gitna ng tulay.
“P-Please… baby. H-Hold o-on.. t-tight.” I sobbed.
Her stomach is getting more and more painful as she looks down and her eyes widened in shock when she saw blood dripping from below even though she just wore thin silk pajamas, the blood is still visible.
“...W-What..?” Her face is full of horror.
She thought of Yale and will ask for help but he's on a business trip right now. She doesn't even have a cellphone to contact him. Their unborn kid— they need him the most but he's not around.
Her mind becomes messy as she cried silently while stroking her bulging belly. She was already very wet and her belly is aching so badly. She wants to ask for help but nobody's around. Naalala niya’ng the place where she dashed out earlier is the only mansion located in a secluded mountain of Keist village— a village for rich people only.
The rain is dropping heavily but all she cares about now is the little one on her belly. Her three month old baby. She knew the meaning of the pain she felt like— right now. She'll lose her unborn baby. She was already advised by the doctor to not be stressed as her chances of giving birth are very low. There's a big of chances the kid on her belly will let go. And it happened just now.
Viola is panting as she tries to walk to the other side of the bridge but because of the pain of her belly and the blood dripping below— she has no strength to walk forward.
Naramdaman niya ang pagkalog ng kinatatayuan niya. She turned her head and only to see the big flood of a river— rushing towards the place where stands.
“I'm s-s-sorry.. I couldn't protect.. you.” She thought of her unborn kid. She should've escaped that place long ago. If only she'll have a second chance.
She just closed her eyes as she felt the bridge collapse as the flood rushed forward where Viola was standing— and swept her away along with the debris of the bridge.
