“Wala pa namang tanghalian kaya magpahinga ka muna, Viola. Maghahanda pa ako ng mga kakailanganin para mamaya.” Aling Tina says.

Tumango si Viola saka hinawakan ang kamay ni Aling Tina as she felt her tears falling down her cheeks.

“Maraming salamat po talaga, Aling Tina.” Viola sniffed.

Viola nodded as Aling Tina slowly left the small apartment.

Tossing and turning in her bed, Viola cannot fall asleep as she thought of her new life.

In her first life, she died. She's the outcast of her husband's family and even though she's pregnant, those Gu's didn't even spare her.

Now that she has been given a chance to start again, she has to make a plan for her baby in her womb.

Wala sa first life niya ang nangyaring pagtakas at pagpunta dito sa hacienda ni Ferez.

Viola sighs as she plans for her new life.

On the other side— One of the executive secretaries of Gu Corporation hurriedly walked to his boss’s office on the top floor of the huge building in the middle of the city abroad.

Pushing the double door, he pants heavily and searches for his boss around the office but there's no one inside.

“Boss! Something's urgent is calling you from home!” The executive secretary yells in panic as he looks around the office and stops his sight in the secret lounge where he thought his boss was.

“...”

“Your mother called—” The man inside the secret lounge spoke in a cold voice, interrupting his executive secretary.

“Don't talk about her.”

The executive secretary nervously gulps his saliva as he's staring at the secret lounge beside his boss's table.

He stuttered, “B-But.. y-your w-wife r-run a-away, Boss.”

The man inside the lounge didn't make a noise that made the executive secretary tremble in fear.

“..I hope I can still keep this job.” He muttered softly thinking that the man inside the lounge didn't hear him.

“I heard you and I won't fire you just because of this small matter.” The man inside the lounge opened the secret door and walked out gracefully towards his chair.

The man’s presence was imposing— his tall, muscular frame exuded power, and his dark, piercing eyes held a hint of danger. His aura was one of authority and command, demanding respect from all who approached him.

“I'll be on vacation for one year starting today.” The man sighs as he stares at the person in front of him— trembling in fear as he continues, “I want you to be in-charge of this company while I'm away.”

The secretary widened his eyes as he looked down to the ipad he was holding and checked his boss's schedule.

“B-Boss— Your schedule is fully packed until next year!” He exclaimed.

“I haven't taken a vacation for several years since I built this company. This should be considered my day off for working my ass off.”

David, the executive secretary, didn't know what to say but just thinking about his boss's words made him agree. Although he's gonna be busy this year and can't find a girl to date— he'll still follow his boss's orders.

He didn't notice the man that was sitting in the swivel chair— standing up and slowly walking towards the double door.

“Don't contact me unless necessary, David.” He coldly ordered one last time and walked out of the office leaving David dumbfounded.

In the Gu's Household, the servants of the huge mansion are panicking as they searched for the missing wife of the head, Mr. Zeref Gu.

All the servants are now standing in the living room— bowing their heads as they were getting yelled at by the mother of the headmaster of the household.

“WHAT WAS THE USE OF US PAYING YOU WHEN YOU DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THAT DAMN GIRL RUN AWAY!?” The middle aged woman angrily yells at all the people in front of her.

She smiles proudly as she looks at every one of the people in front of her bowing their heads— as if they are all serving for her. In which she thought, they should do.

“...”

“Seriously, Mother. Now that the woman is gone in this household— maybe we should change the wife of my brother, don't you think?” The one and only daughter of the ‘Mistress’ of the Gu Household— Lina Gu.

“ALL OF YOU— DISPERSE!” The mother of Lina yells as she watches the servants quickly leave the living and only she and her daughter left.

“Kung ganyan lang kadali, Lina! Where's your brain!?” The middle aged woman is already angry with her voice but her face is obviously smiling.

“Psh! Obviously you're not angry at yourself, Mommy Alice.” Lina muttered and continued, “You're just intimidating those servants that brother hired here.”

Alice, the middle aged woman and Yale Zeref’s mother, scoffed as she stared at her daughter with her eyes squinting.

“Your brother is not here and even your father so i have to take the lead for once.” Alice explained and laughed heartily.

“Anyway, Mommy— Ate Grace is already waiting for me outside! Kakain kami sa bagong tayo na resto so I'll go away now!” Lina runs in a hurry leaving her mother in the living room alone.

Back to the hacienda— Aling Tina is busy preparing to cook for lunch herself when her boss, Ferez, calls her to the living room.

Kinakabahan na pumunta si Aling Tina sa living room kung saan nakaupo ang amo nito sa single sofa while looking at her with a small smile on his face.

“Nakabalik ka na pala, Sir?” Ganiyan agad ang bungad ni Aling Tina kay Ferez.

Umalis kasi ito kanina after meeting Viola at ilang oras din itong hindi bumalik kaya late na ng humanda si Aling Tina para sa tanghalian. Nakatulog din kasi siya dahil sa pagod ng biyahe.

“Yeah, Manang. I used the helicopter to make it home safely.” Ferez explained.

Tumango-tango nalang si Aling Tina sa narinig. May pagka englisiro kasi ang amo niya. Bagay lang din kay Viola na nakilala niya sa bus.

“How was your trip going here, Manang? Aside from meeting—Viola.. may sumunod ba sa inyo?” Ferez asks Aling Tina in a gentle voice.

Napaisip tuloy si Aling Tina bago sumagot. “Wala naman, Sir.”

Napatango si Ferez as he stared at Aling Tina.

“Perhaps… Is there something I have to know about Viola, Manang?”

Nanlaki ang mata ni Aling Tina habang nakatitig sa amo nito as she feels her heart beats faster dahil sa kaba.

Kahit gusto man na itago ni Aling Tina ang katauhan ni Viola ay wala siyang choice kundi sabihin ang lahat sa amo nito— excluding the baby on Viola's womb.

Sekreto nila Viola iyon. She would risk her job to protect Viola's unborn baby in her womb. Babae din siya and she knows how important that secret is for a girl who's alone. Viola trusts her so she told her the truth and she wouldn't break Viola's trust for her. Kahit sa amo niya.

“Well.. is there anything you're trying to hide from me, Manang?” Ferez's eyes darkened as he stared at Aling Tina but he tried his voice to be gentle so as to not scare the old lady standing in front of him.

“W-Wala na po, Sir.”

Tumango si Ferez as he ordered Aling Tina to go back to work at naiwan siyang mag-isa sa living room.

He muttered softly. “...Secret, eh.”
