KANE
The day I met Pete, well let's just say it was a big bang.
He literally ran me over with the books he was carrying.
But the strange thing was, when his books fell over so did his geeky black spectacles and his eyes. His eyes. His eyes stole me then everything came following afterwards.

I was on library duty and school was over, the glory ring of the school bell had sounded.
The Encyclopedias were the last to be sorted and transported from the Supplies to the Library, and that day I must have been dumb enough to think that I could carry the remaining volumes T to Z. I thought everyone was gone, as I was walking out of the door in came somebody else who apparently was running.
My glasses died that day, the books broke it in half. But I did not need them to know that it was Kane I bumped into or to put it in better words, I toppled into.
KANE
I would gladly say "His eyes" again just for the emphasis. They were I didn't know what color, grayish? They were the color of the sky when it's about to let loose its hold of tears.
His face was literally two inches from mine!!!! I was so surprised that I sort of screamed and pushed him away.
He seemed surprised to see me at that moment, which I understood cause no one spends time after school especially here in PHS. Well except for gray-eyed Pete.
I only stayed for some personal reasons that I'm not going to mention in the moment.
After he rose up and dusted himself, he offered me a hand. His grip was strong and assuring the kind I wasn't expecting from him. That day had really gone unexpected.

Her eyes stared into mine a little longer than I would have expected so I stared right back. It got a little awkward. But now that I remember it, it sorta was a little weird. After some time I remember standing up, then apologized and helped her up.
From what I could see that day, I guessed that she has been crying. What with the red eyes and all but I did not get to ask cause the clock hanging right above our heads made me gather the books again and power walk to the Library.
That afternoon as I made my way through the hallways, I knew for a fact that if I didn't reach the Library on time I would have to put the heavy books back where they came from. What I did not know was that day was only the start. A start of Kane.
