THEN? WHY ARE YOU GOING TO FOLLOW ME?

— I questioned, glancing at Elijah’s direction. We were on our way to the apartment complex we were going to live in. For some reason, he told me he’d follow me to that crazy school and even live in the same apartment building as me.

“Why not? I’m a loyal devotee of the princess! ” He grinned, saluting.

“Drop that pet name. I hate being called that. ” I slapped his face, walking faster.

“But that’s what they call you when you fight right? Princess. ” He stated in a matter-of-fact tone.

“Doesn’t mean i permitted them to.” I pursed my lips.

“To be honest, i get why they call you that, but ‘mad dog’ suits you better.” He commented, grinning widely.

“Fuck you.”

~

“Wow~ the uniform’s pretty sick!” Elijah complimented, raising his uniform in the air.

“Good for you.” I sighed, looking at my reflection.

“It’s not too bad. ” I pursed my lips, sitting on the bed.

“You know, you’re probably the only female in that school.” Elijah suddenly said, sitting beside me.

“And? I might just be stronger than half of the students there.” I replied, tossing the necktie away and taking my phone out.

“Might be. Aren’t you afraid?” He pried, and I just looked at him flatly.

“I have you.” I said, turning my back away from him.

He stayed quiet for a few seconds before, throwing his body at me while i almost died at how heavy he was.

“Elijah! Get off, you’re fucking heavy!” I squirmed, laughing slightly while slapping his face.

“I never knew you thought of me so highly! I swear on my ancestors’ names that i will protect you from perverts my wholr life!” He declared, sitting up with his fists held up.

“Cringey, Eli.” I sighed, shaking my head in disapproval.

“Why don’t we tour around the town? Buy some clothes, too.” He suggested, and since i was feeling bored, i agreed and went out with him.

Our tour was going well. In all honesty, the town folks were kind. You wouldn’t really believe that this town was being bothered by a school filled with delinquents.

‘ Is it really?’ I thought, looking at the variety of clothes displayed outside the glass window.

“Kaze, trouble.” Elijah suddenly whispered, putting me on guard.

“Let’s hide for now.” I said, him nodding in response as we both hid in an alley.

Numerous men suddenly appeared out of nowhere and started ransacking the town.

“How messed up. ” I commented, watching in silence as a frown rested on my lips.

A guy with unique hair and eyes suddenly appeared out of nowhere, the blonde one started insulting him, earning a punch from the peculiar-looking one.

They broke into a massive fist fight. All of them against the one guy, which looked like wasn’t a big deal for him.

He’s strong.’ My eyes shone in amusement, curiosity wrapping my body in its might.

“Aren’t you gonna stop them? ” Elijah questioned, glancing at me.

“I don’t need to indulge myself in unnecessary fights outside of school. ” I clicked my tongue, scratching the back of my head in annoyance.

“But,” I trailed off, glaring at the guy who was about to hit some kid who failed to escape.

“Dude! This kid’s gonna be an epic hostage. ” The guy whistled, reaching for the kid who could only cower in fear.

Before the guy could pull the boy, i kicked him in his abdomen hard and sent him flying.

I absolutely hate underhanded weaklings who take civilians as hostages.
