In the midst of a garden that had once been haunted by countless nightmares, a scene of devastation, and whispered conversations between two lovers, today it was transformed into a canvas of jubilation. Nature itself seemed to rejoice, adorning the landscape for the most anticipated event of the decade.A young princess, clad in a borrowed black coat from her aunt, who served as both advocate and principal, stood atop a modest chair at the center of it all barely managing the coat twice of her height. With a tablet held close to her heart, she assumed the role of marriage registrar, a nod to the ladylike grace she admired.
With a gentle clearing of her throat, she raised her tablet high, its screen illuminating her face as she declared, in the midst of this transformed garden, a sanctuary of happiness, where once sorrow reigned, and love was tested,
"In the presence of this blooming garden, witness to both heartache and hope, I, as registrar, hereby inaugurate this moment as a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment. Let us welcome the most beautiful and wonderful brides...
Ms Singh! And Malik Ji...."
As she made her announcement, two figures, resplendent in the most charming attire, entered the premises arm in arm with their beloveds. Karishma, radiant and graceful, led the procession alongside her cousin, while Haseena followed in her wake, accompanied by her mother.
With anticipation building, they stood facing each other beside the petite marriage registrar. As their eyes met, exchanging glances of admiration for the beautiful journey they had embarked upon together, the young registrar couldn't help but interject,
"Alright, aap dono ek dusre ko bad mai nihar lena. Shadi honi baki hai abhi...".
She cleared her throat, leaving everyone around her astonished at her little but extraordinary habits. She continued,
"Ms Singh! do you take Haseena Malik as your wife?".
"I do.. miss!", Karishma replied with radiant smile, as she slide the ring into the latter's ring finger kissing back of it.
"Ammi... Hamara matlab hai Ms Malik? Do you take Ms Karishma Singh as your wife?".
Haseena couldn't help but chuckle at her daughter's determination, realizing how much Rukhmani yearned for their union to be officially recognized. Despite the legal hurdles in their country, Rukhmani's heartfelt gesture touched them deeply. With a mix of emotions, they embraced their daughter, grateful for her love and understanding. And so, with Rukhmani's initiative, they embarked on the journey to make their relationship official, knowing that their bond transcended any legalities. It was a moment filled with love, acceptance, and the unwavering support of their cherished family.
She replied, "I do.. Madam!". She slide the ring in Karishma's ring finger kissing back of it she uttered, "I love you Ms Singh!".
"I love you too Malik ji..".
As tears of joy streamed down their faces, the gathered loved ones witnessed the long-awaited moment they had all prayed for. Mrs. Malik, Shivani, and her partner joined in the jubilation, their cheers echoing the overwhelming happiness in the air. Mr. Pawar added to the excitement by bursting confetti, filling the atmosphere with colorful fragments of celebration. In that moment, surrounded by the unwavering support of their cherished friends and family, Karishma and Haseena felt an immense sense of gratitude and love, knowing that their journey to this day had been blessed by the love and wishes of those closest to their hearts.
"Aheemm!! Rukiye abhi ek aur chiz baki hai hamne shadi ho gayi announce nahi kiya hai abhitak!! Kya aap log bhi!!" The slow yet stern voice stopped everyone in their tracks, commanding their attention.
