Chapter 7

Nyx

I threw up again and now I'm agitated. I flushed my toilet and headed to my room. It must be the changing of the seasons when days are longer and nights shorter I usual can feel the toll on my body but this feels a little different. I made me some tea and headed towards my bed.

I laid down on my bed ready to take a nap when I heard the knocking of my door. I let out a groan and used my powers to open my door.

"Hey Nyx, How are you." Aphrodite said enter my house.

"Like Hades hit me in my stomach." I said glaring at her. I laid back down to take a breather. I rubbed my temple since I have a raging headache at the moment.

"You've been like this for three weeks now." She said very concerned

"I am aware of that."

"Are you pregnant?"

Before I could say anything the thought about the man I slept with. How his eyes stared into my soul. Did we use protection when we had sex? My eyes widen as I realized we were too drunk to have put a condom on. And he is the only person I've been with in a while so it has to be him or I'm reproducing asexually.

"Freakin heck" I yelled out sitting up right now.

"Is it a mundane?" She asked. I nodded my head as I laid back down.

"Yes, It must have been that man from the club." I nodded he was the only guy I've been with in a century.

I got up reluctantly and started finishing packing my bag. I pulled different things off my shelf and put them in my bag. I could feel Aphrodite eyeing me suspiciously.

"Where are you going Nyx. We just found out your pregnant and now your leaving." Aphrodite exclaimed standing up.

" I'm going to find Hephaestus. We need him to create the weapon for the war. And no one besides me can go down to earth. And Hephaestus hates mount Olympus so I have to find him."

"Your crazy you know that. Your going to the mundane world PREGNANT."

"I've got this handle Aphrodite. I promise I will be okay. Last I heard he was in Sicily, Italy So I'll start there."

I opened a portal and gave Aphrodite a huge. " I'll keep in contact. And please lock my house when you leave.
I don't need Hermes to lurk in my lair."

"Goodbye Nyx, I'll send for you if the war gets bad up here."

I nodded and walked through the portal and imagine a hotel in the mundane world.

After almost 2 minutes I walked out my portal and headed towards the mundane hotel so I can set up base. I smiled at the receptionist and gave her two Olympian golds her eyes widen in surprise and she gave me a key and bowed her head.

I found my room and I smiled. The view is absolutely gorgeous. I pulled out my maps and started tracking Hephaestus. As the sun was setting my smile widened, I unleashed my darkness powers so they can cover more corners. I started getting light headed an hour later so I reeled in my powers. As I did that my headache went away.

"I can't use the full extent of my power while I'm pregnant." I said allowed

"How am I supposed to do anything"

I exited my room and started to go find something to eat and shop. I found a nice shop and found some groceries and I even bought a phone and new clothes. I exited the store and headed back to my room. I seen so many people enjoying themselves and laughing. I made it to my room and laid all my bags down.

I sat on my bed going through it and setting it up. My stomach growled and so I got up and fixed me some food.

A thought crossed my mind and my eyes widen. "I don't even know your daddy's name little one. I'm the goddess of freakin night and I am so stupid I let this happen. How couldn't I know his freakin name." I sighed out. How could I let this be real. I paced for a couple of hours just thinking.

I went over the map again and wrote some notes down. I have three places to look tomorrow. I'm so glad Sicily is small. I turned the lamp off and headed to bed. The good thing about basically being darkness I can see at night very well like it's still day for me.

I thrive at night but since I'm pregnant my energy is drained. I laid down in the bed and let my body relax. And soon I started to doze off.
