𝙰 𝙽𝚎𝚠 𝙷𝚘𝚖𝚎, 𝙰𝚗 𝚄𝚗𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝙵𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚢 |𝚂𝙾𝙰|

🔹𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 3️⃣🔹

When the bus finally arrived in Charming, Connor ended up suggesting that he take Lizzie and her siblings to get a bite at the town's diner while they try and figure out how to track down her aunt.

Lizzie opened her mouth to protest but was stopped by both JJ and Paige saying that they were both hungry.

She smiled and ruffled her brother's brown hair lightly, making the younger boy attempt to bat her hand away before smoothing his hair back into place.

Watching the interaction between her big sister and brother caused Paige to giggle at how silly they were being.

"Alright, alright. So, Connor. Where's this diner?"

Connor led the trio down the sidewalk a ways before they finally reached the diner.

As they were approaching the door of the establishment though, he caught sight of a vehicle parked out front that made him groan loud enough for Lizzie and JJ to hear him. Paige was busy looking around them and wasn't fully paying attention.

Lizzie asked her brother to go ahead and take their sister inside and find them a spot to sit which the younger boy immediately complied with.

Once the two had gone inside and the door had closed behind them, she turned to Connor and asked him what was wrong.

"Uhm, I don't really know how to say this Lizzie but I'm pretty sure that my dad is here at the diner right now. I'm pretty sure that that's his patrol car over there."

Grabbing a hold of Connor's hand, Lizzie assured him that they could handle the situation if he was right about his suspicion regarding his dad.

Heading inside the diner together, the pair were greeted almost immediately by a brown haired man dressed in a police uniform.

"Hey, Connor. How was the bus ride from your mom's?"

Not really wanting to make the situation even more awkward for herself or Connor for that matter, Lizzie quickly excused herself and made her way over to the booth that her siblings were sitting together in.

"Hey, sis. JJ went ahead and ordered some drinks for us."

Lizzie smiled warmly at her little sister then assured her brother that she was happy with the fact that he had done that for the three of them.

Lizzie then let her siblings know that she would be right back before standing up and making her way towards the diver's women's restroom, her backpack in her hand as she did so.

Entering the restroom , she nearly collided with an older blonde woman who looked strangely familiar to her and quickly exchanged an apology with the woman who simply smiled at her before assuring her that no harm was done.

After she had used the toilet and was quickly changing into one of the clean outfits in her backpack, she suddenly realized why the woman she'd bumped into a few moments before had looked so familiar to her.

See, Lizzie had been looking through her photo box a few days before the journey to Charming with Connor and her siblings and she had come across an old picture of her mother from when she was younger (possibly still in her teens), her arms around the shoulders a second blonde woman who looked like she could have been related to her and when she had looked at the back of said photo, she had discovered that someone had written the following:

Me and Manda
Sisters 4 life

Lizzie was pretty certain that the woman in the photo with her mother was the same one that she'd bumped into when she was entering the bathroom and since she had previously noticed that there was what looked like an auto shop in the background of the photo with a sign identifying it as Teller-Morrow, she figured that it would likely be a good starting place with trying to find her aunt.

When Lizzie had mentioned to Connor trying at the auto shop first, he had confirmed to her that he knew exactly where it was in the town but that they would have to be careful when going there since his dad really hated the people who ran the place.

He had also made sure to assure the blonde that the people who ran the place weren't necessarily bad people like his dad and others in the small town tended to make them out to be.

"They're just folks who like to live life on their own terms and not always stick to society's rules. I've actually met a couple of them before and they were pretty nice to me despite my dad being a cop who's constantly harassing them for no real reason other than just cause he wants to do so."

Lizzie snapped out of her thoughts and quickly finished up in the bathroom before grabbing her backpack and making her way back out into the main part of the diner where she saw that Connor was now sitting with her brother and sister.

"Hey, Lizzie. I hope that you don't mind but I went ahead and helped JJ and Paige here order themselves some food. I also got you a cheeseburger and fries since I know that you like both."

Lizzie smiled at her friend before thanking him for doing all that.

"So, that was your dad huh?"

"Yep. He's okay as a dad but the cop in him does honestly affect our relationship sometimes. I can deal with it just fine though.

The quartet chatted amongst themselves for about fifteen minutes before their waitress brought them their food.

Digging into their respective meals, thr four youngsters silently ate and once they had all finished and paid for all of the food they'd gotten, Connor suggested that they head over to Teller-Morrow where they could hopefully talk to Gemma Teller-Morrow about how to find the other three's aunt.

"If anyone in this town is gonna know how to find you guys' aunt, it'll definitely be her. Gemma knows pretty much everyone and everything about this town."
