That night was different. Really different. She had a dream about softball. She didn't even think about Walker. Ever since the first time Maddie showed Kennedy the photos of walker the only she could think about was Walker. This was the first time in 2 or 3 years that she didn't dream about Walker.

Kennedy had to be in bed rest for the next 4 or 5 days and she had another game in 2 days. Kennedy spent that day in her room crying. Whenever Walker called she ignored it. When he texted about him coming over she begged him not to, she didn't want him to see her like this. When someone knocked on the room door she told them to go away, even aubree. That night aubree slept in the guest bedroom.

The next day walker came over despite Kennedy saying no. He climbed up to the tree house that led to the deck connected to their room. When he got to the window he say her curled up on the floor crying. He knock softly on the glass door. She quickly moved her head over to see who it was. When she saw walker she whipped her tears away and furiously searched for her crutches. She slowly made her way to the door and opened it for Walker.

"What are you doing here? I told you not to." She said her voice barely audible. Crying took away her voice.

"Omg K! Are you ok?" Walker said. Concern written all over his face. "Your eyes are blood shot red."

" Yes I'm ok" she said sarcastically, " No! I'm not ok WALKER!" She said trying her best to yell but it just came out barely above a whisper. " Walker. Softball was my life, my pride, my everything. I play and practice everyday because it helps me destress. Even in the winter I would play EVERY SINGLE DAY! Now I can't play or anything for the next 2 FUCKING MONTHS WALKER! What am I going to do?!?" Now her eyes were bubbling over with tears as she fell into Walker's arms.

"K, I never knew softball ment this much to you." Walker said warmly with genuine gratitude.

"No one ever knows how much it means to me. I haven't eaten in the past two day because I can't bare the thought of leaving this room and not playing softball."

"I'm fitting you food give me 20 minutes"

"No, Walker it's fine I'm not hungry anyway"

"Oh well. I'm getting you McDonald's. I know it's your favourite."

"Ugh, scobell, you know me to well" Kennedy said laughing softly

Walker held her hand and made circles with his thumb on her palm before leaving.

She loved him so much. She didn't care what anyone said she was gonna make him sleepover at her house tonight because she thought he would distract her from the thought of not being able to play softball for the next 2 months.

When Walker got back she asked him to stay over night and he said he would. That night before bed walker made her go downstairs and tell her family good night. She did but while she did she was crying because she had made her family worry.

Walker and Kennedy slept in the same bed because Aubree was gonna sleep in her bed and Kennedy didn't want walker to leave her. The next morning Kennedy woke up to Walkers arms wrapped around her protectively and cameras in her face.

"Oooh looks like Walkers sleeping beauty is awake." Hailey said teasing them

"Yep she is" Walker said a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"Walker, Kennedy is mine" Aubree said sarcastically but you could tell she wasn't joking.

"Omg. Y'all actually leave us alone. I'm going back to sleep." Kennedy said tiredly

"Ight. Guys let's go. We leave to give the love bugs some space" Matt said while laughing hysterically.

They left and Kennedy went back to bed while Walker watched dead pool on the tv in the room. Later after she woke up and got ready her and walker went to the library. When they got there they saw one of Kennedy's really close friends.

"Oh hey Micheal" Kennedy said kinda of flirty even tho it was not supposed to come out flirty.

" Hi Kennedy. Omg what happened? How long till you can play again?" Micheal said really concerned, knowing how much Kennedy loved softball

"I just got a little hurt I'll be fine. Don't worry" Kennedy said "anyway, Walker this is Micheal Reynolds, Maddie's brother. Micheal this is Walker Scobell."

"Nice to meet you" Walker said with a ping of jealousy knowing how close Kennedy and Micheal were.

"Nice to meet you too" Micheal said. You could tell how jealous he was. Micheal and Kennedy had been friends forever and he has liked her since they were 6 and seeing her with some boy besides him or one of the noons' made him jealous. "Ok well I have to go. See ya"

"Bye Micheal. Love ya"

"Luv you too" I said to Micheal as he walked away

"How close are y'all" Walker said after he was out of sight.

"Oh I've known him since forever. Don't worry"
