Chapter 9

"What are you doing here?"

Taehyung asked the man in front of him.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking that? What is a prince's guard doing here" The man questioned.

"Do you perhaps know Kim Daewoo?"

Both Taehyung and the man asked in unison. They were stilled. Taehyung knew it was no more coincidence that this man was here so he asked,

"Jungkook, why would you kill Minister Kim?"

"Fun, you know" Jungkook knew Taehyung wasn't pleased by his answer so he continued "He was a nuisance for both of us, wasn't he?"

Taehyung couldn't believe what was happening around him. Jungkook being his soulmate, now the murderer, Taehyung still hasn't recovered from his state of shock.

"Say something Tae" Jungkook said.

"So did you know about me being part of Grand Shadows before?" Taehyung inquired.

"I wouldn't say I knew about it but you were quite suspicious"

"What do you mean" Taehyung asked with a frown.

"Both you and Minhyuk, I mean Jimin did act well but here and there you were visible so"

Taehyung wanted to defend himself but he couldn't because he knew What Jungkook said was true.

"Anyway let's talk about our future plans and your reason to help us" Taehyung tried to change the subject.

"I have my reasons for my actions just like you and I am not helping you, Our union benefits me a lot"

And they continued their conversation.

"So next week we should be ready for our attack right general?" Jungkook nodded.

"I will inform to master," Taehyung said.

"So now I am leaving" Taehyung informed.

"Do you not want to talk to me" Jungkook spoke remembering about their night in the palace.

"Didn't we talk already?" Taehyung asked even when he knew what Jungkook was talking about.

"Yes we did, then let's leave right?" Jungkook spoke with a hint of annoyance.

They knew they both were yearning to talk to each other about certain things. But they were not ready to initiate it like a normal person. Maybe it was because of their fear of getting rejected by other. Maybe they were waiting for the right time.

Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, is known for her pure white and serene beauty, and for Kingdom Selene, the moon festival is a day of great celebration. The streets are adorned with an array of different colors and lights, creating a magical and vibrant atmosphere. Taehyung was among the crowd, completely immersed in the festive spirit. He was mesmerized by the beauty of the decorations and the joyous energy of the people around him.

Taehyung knew this might be his last night in Selene. A big part of him wanted to see Jungkook and talk to him.

Taehyung was walking down the dimly lit street. As he was lost in his thoughts, he suddenly felt a strong grip on his arm, and before he could react, a sharp object was pressed against his throat. He was about to take his dagger when he heard.

"It's me"

"What is this general?" Taehyung deadpanned.

"I want you to do something" Jungkook tried to explain.

"How? By threatening to kill me" Jungkook looked offended "No, it's easier for you listen to me this way"

"General" Taehyung couldn't continue as he could feel Jungkook's breath in his proximity.

"What do you want?" Taehyung asked.

"Just stay close to me tonight"

"And why should I?" Taehyung asked.

"Please"

Taehyung was surprised by Jungkook's request "Okay, but you have to follow me" 'Maybe today I should tell Jungkook' Taehyung thought to himself.

Taehyung lead the way for Jungkook. He was gazing at different street foods in the shop and Jungkook was silently following him.

"Tanghulu" Taehyung screamed.

"What happened Taehyung" Jungkook inquired quickly.

"Tanghulu, let's eat" Taehyung pulled themselves to the store.

Jungkook was staring at Taehyung. He found Taehyung endearing when he acted silly. Suddenly Taehyung pushed a piece of Tanghulu into Jungkook's mouth. Jungkook was taken aback by the action.

"Don't you like it general?" Taehyung asks with a pout. Jungkook quickly took a bite.

"How was it?"

"Not bad" Jungkook replied.

"Only not bad? Something is wrong with your taste buds then general"

Jungkook chuckled "No it's just, I am not fond of sweets"

"What?" Taehyung giggled and asked "Is that why you are so bitter always"

"Even after eating sweets you are bitter so" Jungkook was quick to defend himself

"I am not bitter, you wanna taste?" Taehyung asked innocently.

Jungkook was biweldered "Taste?"

"I mean, General you know when I was a kid I used to love moon cakes, Let's find them" Taehyung changed the subject and Jungkook didn't question that.

Jungkook and Taehyung scrolled the street till midnight. Chatting with each other. Both were contented with the night. Now They were in front of Jungkook's chamber.

"So" both uttered together. They chuckled.

"Tomorrow they might begin their trope," Jungkook said making their smile disappear.

"After the at I will leave you general, no more annoying" T,aehyung said with a chuckle.

"You will just go away like that?" Jungkook looked offended.

"Shouldn't I general?"

"Can you not?" Jungkook whispered.

"Will you be able to afford it?"

Suddenly the atmosphere becomes tense. Their gaze was deep enough to pierce each other's hearts. Slowly, without their knowledge, the gap between them was reduced.

They could feel each other's breath and in the brink of a second, Their lips met.

"Euphoria" a word Jungkook always felt drawn into. But until now If someone asks what Euphoria is, Jungkook wouldn't be able to express it.  But now he knows, Euphoria is what it feels like to kiss Taehyung.

The kiss deepens. The slow grunts and moans echoed through the veranda.

"Jungkook let's get inside," Taehyung said in a sultry voice. Jungkook was in a maze, he was quick to follow.

They slowly slid into Jungkook's bed and their night continued to shine.
