The King Of Envy (Helluva Boss x OC)

The Envy Ring

As we know next to nothing about the canon Envy Ring, I've decided to create a short summary about how I think Envy looks and behaves.

Capital City: New Dis
(Imagine Rapture from Bioshock... just, without the Splicers.)

A beautiful metropolis built under the sea, New Dis is in fact the only city in Envy, and is roughly twice the size of Pentagram City.

In enormous towers that scrape the surface, 15 of the 72 Ars Goetia families reside, in direct service to King Leviathan. In the lower levels, living in domes and smaller wards, the poor and Middle Class work in factories that produce hellphones and automobile parts, which are shipped upwards to higher rings.

Life above the surface is in comparison much simpler. With less access to advanced technology, most villages and towns that live on islands are restricted to fishing and foraging to survive. While not outright poor, these settlements are small and very rarely do they make contact with new Dis or other settlements for aid.

The Envy ring itself is not always forgiving, with weather that can shift  from a bright, sunny day painted in shades of gold and turqoise, to a violent, thrashing thunderstorm of lavender clouds and violet lightning. Tornadoes, floods and fires are a common occurence on the surface, just as riptides and vortexes are common below the waves. On top of that, the undersea communities are constantly under threat by sea monsters.

Giant mindless beasts that are only succesfully repelled by King Leviathan, wether it be through mind control or brute force, sea monsters have laid waste to many sections of New Dis, and are occasionally the cause of islands being sunk below the tides.

Whatever the case, Envy's residents are consistently entertained whenever Leviathan dukes it out eith a sea beast, and his been the inspiration for many monster movies.

Resident Species:

Lemures are Envy's only land-bound species, with no natural adaptations to surviving the depths. Lemures are the species that populate the islands of Envy with small fishing settlements, and range from a wide variety of cultural development from isle to isle; some are tribal, others are more modern.

Cambions are jellyfish-like, and are slow moving. They are popular for factory or field work, as they require little food and rest. Unfortunately, Cambions don't survive long outside of a wet, salty environment, which only Envy can provide.
