Selena gasped slightly. "Thats.."

"Joe." Taylor finished Selenas sentence with a nod. She swallowed the lump in her throat. How could he do such a thing? The hurt setting aside, being replaced with anger.

"Well if mom didn't hate him before she sure does now." She heard a familiar voice behind her. Taylor turned her head to be met with her little brother, Austin. "Sorry." He immediately said, seeing the glare from his sister.

The cops got the information from Taylor about what she had seen, and more about Joe. Once they left, Taylor went upstairs, leaving Selena, Travis and Austin on their own.

Travis was about to head up the steps, though halted at Selenas voice. "Travis, just.. give her some space." Travis nodded and came back down.

"It's definitely a lot to process. I mean.. your boyfriend killing your mother isn't something you see every day." Travis sat down on the sofa beside Austin. "How you holding up, man?"

Austin glanced up. "Hurts. But.. I'll get over it." Travis nodded understandingly. "Taylor was closer to mom than I was, so I wanna be there for Taylor." Austin shrugged.

The two nodded, staying on the sofa in the lounge, giving Taylor space upstairs. They kept each other busy, whether it'd be conversation or games even.

Hours had passed. Taylor remained in her room, and frankly she was livid. She ended up throwing whatever was on her desk at the wall, even. Now, she laid on her bed facing the wall, her face half covered by the covers. Fury bubbled inside of her.

She wanted to kill him. Although she knew that it wouldn't be rational, it was what her head was begging of her, and frankly she could give in if she wanted to.

Left alone in the silence, her mind spun with millions if thoughts. Though one popped out at her. It was something Joe had said to her this morning before first period..

Taylor was grabbing her books from her locker to begin first period. As she took out her textbook, he slammed her locker shut with a grin.

Flinching, she exhaled with a chuckle. She swatted his arm. "Jesus, you scared the shit out of me!" He chuckled at her. "Sorry. But I wanted to tell you something."

Taylor nodded expectantly. "So.. my parents are gonna be out of town tonight and tomorrow.. and my siblings have gone with them. So what do you say.." He stepped closer. "..we uh, get together?" His voice slightly husked in her ear.

She got chills. "I don't know, Joe-" He cut her off before she could finish. "I promise you, nothing you aren't ready for either." He winked.

Taylor shrugged. "I don't know. My mom's been up my ass about my upcoming exams, I don't think sneaking out would make things better."

Joe sighed. "I'll help you study?" He suggested. She thought for a moment. He was pretty good at chemistry.

It was her turn to sigh. "I'll try. But I can't promise anything.." Joe smiled. "Great. See you at six!" He jogged off. Taylor rolled her eyes and shook her head.

Taylor blinked out of her thoughts when she heard a soft knock at the door. She glanced at the clock which flashed 5:30pm at her, then turned her attention to the door, which cracked open slightly.
