Taylor was just like any ordinary high school student. She had the grades, the looks, the personality. She was the perfect student.

The bell rings, breaking the blonde out of her focus on her exam. She hands in her exam alongside the other students, then taking her belongings with her to the cafeteria for lunch.

The hallways were slightly busy, per usual. Overwhelmed, Taylor quickly made her way past the crowds of people. Before she reached the corridor that lead to the cafeteria, she gets stopped by being pulled by her arm. She gets pushed against the wall in the empty corridor.

"Hey." He spoke with his devilish grin as he began kissing her neck. Taylor exhaled quietly. "Joe, I can't do this now." She tried pushing him off her gently, but he refrained from moving.

"How come?" His voice husky. He lifted his head to look at her when she remained quiet. "Do you not want this?" He raised an eyebrow.

It took everything in Taylor to not roll her eyes. Her and Joe had been seeing each other for a month or two. In the beginning, they had both been on the same page. She felt as they both shared the same amount of fondness for each other. As their relationship progressed, he eventually met Taylors parents. As much as Andrea wanted to like Joe, she couldn't bring herself to do so. Something didnt sit right with her about him.

She also tried warning Taylor, which she obliviously ignored. Sooner or later Joe became aware of Andrea's opinion of him, and became more skeptic of her himself. Now, Taylor felt their relationship mostly consisting of affection. She started noticing how he was trying to take control over her slowly, gaslighting her to believing its love. Which she would always fall for.

"I never said that." Her blue eyes glanced around the corridor, making sure nobody was nearby or in earshot.

"Look, your mom's not around, I wanna spend as much time with you as I can." Joe leant on the wall next to her, his eyes roaming her.

"Really? That's not what that means, Joe." She looked at him disapprovingly. "I'm not gonna disobey my moms wishes— I'm not getting.. intimate with you." Joe backed off and sighed. "You're right, I'm sorry. But can we just spend time together, please? We haven't in a while."

Taylor shifted the weight on her feet. "I know, but.. I kinda have a uh.." Taylor stumbled on her sentence, trying to find some excuse to get out of this situation.

Almost on cue, the cafeteria door opened and a familiar voice echoed through the hallway.

"There you are! We were wondering what was taking you so long." Selena looked between Taylor and Joe as she peered through the door. "You coming?"

Taylor nodded and looked back at Joe. "I'll see you later." She gave him a small smile before making her way to the cafeteria. Once facing away from him, Taylors smile quickly faded. She walked with Selena to their table, where she was met by Travis and Patrick. Patrick greeted her before heading off to go grab a snack from the vending machine.

"Hey! There she is." Travis smiled at her, reflecting a small smile back from her. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Selena, who just shrugged. "How'd the exam go?" He asked, giving her his full attention.

"Fine," She took out only her water bottle, setting it in front of her. "It was easy. Pretty sure I did fine." She said bluntly, looking at her hands in front of her, which rested on the table.
